In just two episodes, Smallville has become my favorite show. It has intriguing characters, interesting plottwists, many variables that make realistically for me better than wrestling and my normal soap operas.

I thought it was going to be lame cuz its about a youthful Clark Kent but from seeing the point-of-view from these players I realized that it goes beyond traditional Superman tale itself. It delves into other aspects of the human experience: his befriending of Lex Luther, his struggle to understand his newly controlled powers, his blossoming love affair with Miss Perfection, Lana Lang who is involved with the typical football player and the lingering effects of kryptonite. What makes me so blown away by this show, (maybe 24 and Wolf Lake will peek my interests and do the same but I still have to fully delve into the characters itself to understand where they are coming from) is this amulet/necklace that Lara wears around her neck. It has kryponite, without giving out too much of what is going in the show currently, everyime Clark tries to talk or near his love, he obviously crumbles to his feet and looks foolish around her. I think that has happened to many of us when we try to make an impression on the ladies.

I think it is a microcosm of the world today minus the powers.

What do you guys think by my gross overdramatization? Is there any Smallville fans out their in Boardland?

For those of you who want to decide for yourself or want to record the show, apparently they are going to rerun the first two episodes this Sunday at 5PM. Then maybe you can see where I'm coming from.

It's not my all around favorite, but it's the best new show of the season.

i disagree. i don't think it's awful but Buffy, Angel, That 70s Show and Undeclared are better. (Are those the only good TV shows on network TV, how sad)

And I'm still excited over 24!!!

I also think this show is one of the best ones today. It is great to see how the whole Superman came about when he was young. The only thing I hope it does not become is just him versus a new evil character each week. It would be better with a story development for the villians.

Eh, it's alright. I mean, I watch it, but it's way to angsty, too much like Dawson's Creek, for my liking.

But hey, Kristin Kreuk is amazing. Here's hoping we get a Maxim spread before too much longer.
