I'm on the verge of buying a used X-Box 360 and was wondering what are the games I should pick up?

I'm not into Maddens or shit like that, but would like games I can play online with RF.Netters (I know XBox Live Silver is free, dunno if I'll upgrade to Gold).

I also have never owned a regular X-Box, so I'll have to pick up the Halo 1 (played on PC, but would snag for multiplayer) and 2, Ninja Gaiden, maybe some others.

Battle for Middle Earth seems pretty cool. There's this other game with snow in the title. It's a shooting game and it's pretty good with great graphics.

I'm not much of a gamer, but in addition to Halo, the Max Payne series is one of the few I played all the way through on the original Xbox. Be sure to check the compatibility list though. Not all of the original Xbox games work on the 360.
I played Max Payne 1 and 2 on the PC, and since there's no multiplayer, no need for me to buy those.

I really should get Halo2, but I've never been a big fan of FPG's.

Halo 2 is the only game I play on the 360. All my games come out in the fall.

def jam fight for ny is the best wresteling game of all time

i take a strange ammount of gratificiation in beating the shit out of sean paul

Another
brainless game is the dynasty warriors series. Run around and
press either red or green and kill like swarms of people. Like
250 kills in one lvl, including bosses, isnt unheard of.

The other game that i keep playing is the call of duty series, thats really good stuff.

another great game but doesnt have online is jade empire. Best action rpg of all time. Way better then ff series

forza
good game that has online features, Need for speed underground
has really good online. Racing sucks but those two are okay if u
like racing

Star Wars battle front is a great online game for a shooter. but im a starwars fan so...

Best Wrestling game of all time is still No Mercy for the N64.

I have Battlefront 1 for PS2. Does SW:BF2 on 360 connect to other versions of BF2 or just XBox live? My friends have it for PS2 and PC and I would like to play against/with them. PS2 and PC can talk to each other, dunno if XBox can.

tenbats did u play no mercy? i remember i was in highschool when it came out. i went without lunch for a month to buy that game and when i finally put it in it was completely worth it. the first ladder matches in a video game ever, iron man match, tables, everything we take for granted now is because of no mercy. and wihtout a doubt why i think its the best wrestling game ever, i have my 64 still hooked with only two games left for it. mario kart and no mercy

Barbed wire, electrified cage and "real" cage matches.

3) Wrestlers from ECW, WWE, and WCW in one game. And not just the "watered down" guys.
Geometry Wars on XBLA is all you'll ever need. Costs $5 or something like that I think.

But beyond that, you say you don't like sports games, but what kind of games do you like to better help with suggestions?

Most genres. Shooting, fighting, action, etc. Just not big on sports games, and limited driving games.

Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfare.

It's shooting, it has online play, it has co-op play, and it's not your typical FPS where you run around shooting everything in site.

Seems to be everything you want.

The used 360 fell thru, but between the recent birthday and Lego convention, I think I'm going to buy a new one tonight...

I think the games I may get are Call of Duty 2, Dead Rising, and possibly Halo 2 (Hey, I never had an XBox).
