That's not ironic. That's prophetic.

true true,

True story-

I knew this guy, let's call him "Mr. Play-It-Safe," who was afraid to fly. He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye. He waited his whole damn life to take that flight and as the plane crashed down, he thought, "Well, isn't this nice?"

Also, it rained on my wedding day.

As a result, I come home to a daily MS paint project album cover from my brother on e-mail. Some are very good....and yes...I need to get out more.

I just heard someone use the word "ironically" a few hours ago.

My friend was telling about his friend that is a professional Nascar driver who recently lost his drivers license. I asked "why" and he said "ironically...he lost his license from getting too many speeding tickets!"

We then talked about Alanis for 15 minutes.

In fact somewhere at my parent's house I have the VHS tape of the show that I taped off of the t.v. when I was younger. Someday I'm going to go through all of their video tapes and find it again.

Anyways - I'm watching an episode of the old ABC Sports show The Superstars where pro atheletes competed in sporting events. Judging by the clothes and hairstyles it was from the late 70s or early 80s. OJ Simpson was one of the commentators and on-field interviewer.

After the obstacle course competition he goes to interview Mike Schmidt (I'm almost sure it was Schmidt, but that doesn't matter). OJ asks him some particularly hard question (or whatever might pass for a hard question on The Superstars).

Schmidt turns to him, laughs and says: "Boy, OJ. You really go for the jugular, don't you." OJ looks directly at the camera and mugs. The look on his face was priceless.

Now that's fucking prophetic of Mike Schmidt, or whoever the fuck it was.
