<p>Is Earl a part of the actual BRC? The Vernon Reid / Greg Tate thing from the 80s? Or did he just adopt the name?</p><p> </p><p>Since
Earl seems to have a hard time with this, anyone that can, chime in
with ONE black rocker and why they were influential. Hopefully we'll
have enough to fill 2 hours for him in case he ever gets another chance.</p><p> </p><p>FISHBONE</p><p>Fishbone
first gained attention with their live concerts, earning a reputation
as one of the most diverse bands in the alternative rockgenre. Their unique stew of different styles, mixed with hectic energy
and pounding rhythms, were a huge influence on the funk/rock/metal/rap
hybrid that would become popular in the 1990s. </p>
