The event is named for the 24-year-old pop star who drew criticism when
she was photographed with her baby son, Sean Preston, sitting on her
lap as she drove, and later, in a car seat facing forward rather than
facing backward, which some safety regulations say is best.

Umm, call me crazy, but i drive alot of cars, and the baby is supposed to face the front. That way if you hit something he is the furthest away from flying into anything. If you put a baby in a passenger seat facing the rear, and the airbag goes off, its gonna crush that kid. If his chair is facing foward, it wont even reach him. Its even posted in most family cars on the visor. DOES ANYONE IN THE MEDIA CHECK SHIT

Im so glad this came from a team in the yankee organization
The baby was in the front seat at the time.

Actually, it's facing rear for infants up to a year old and then toddlers can face front.

A car seat should NEVER be placed in the front seat EVER, whether it's in the rear-facing position or not. The airbags can injure adults and have enough acceleration to kill a small child; seat or not, the rugrats belong in the back seat.

Another thing about the seats - rear-facing car seats shouldn't touch the back of the seat in front of them. This can contribute to injury or death in a crash.
And in some states, kids need a booster seat until they're 4'9", 8 years old or weigh 80 pounds. In NJ, we do this by height - 4'9" is the magic number, as a billboard on Rte. 21 in Newark has blithely declared, using the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella as the mouthpiece of MVS.

Needless to say, I've been doing a little car shopping with this in mind.

And yes, the "Britney Spears Baby Safety Night" sponsored by the Newark Bears organization was probably the funniest thing I heard on the radio last week.

And they ain't in north Jersey.

I didn't tell you?

Besides, I prefer kids to pets hands down.

And I'm not allergic to them, so it's Kids - 2, Pets - 0.

You would have to be some kind of coke-head billionaire to name your child after a gay city.
