View Full Version : XM deal with WWE?

seems plenty of xm listeners are wrestling fans, seems that it could go both ways.

i'm just asking because i don't know, but has wwe/raw/etc. on any deals with either satelite radio company? i think that would be one of those good partnerships that help both.

i know LISTENING to wrestling wouldn't do much, like tits on a bull (or strippers on the radio), but i'm sure there is some kind of content that people would tune in for.

* just asking!

It depends on how they do it - if it is just the TV feed being broadcast on XM, it might not work. I think they would need a detailed color-commentary guy, along the lines of a Latin Soccer announcer. Describe the scene with excitement and vitality.

Actually the announcers now are pretty close, but they would have to add a little extra detail. Wrestling is a very visual sport.

I think like a show hosted by Michael Cole or a hired personality that would interview the wrestlers would make sense. Jericho could move his show over to their channel. Play the Wreckless Intent album over and over again.

i was thinking something like that jeff gordon show about nascar, there could be a show about wrestling, not actually broadcasting the matches.

*and i think XM should sponsor a nascar team. i know it's not cheap, but it would be worth it for the announcers on sirius' nascar channel to have to talk about the "XM car" on their shows

if your a wrestling fan, then a radio show about wrestling can be very cool... first of all you would have to get some one good to host the show and 2nd it would have to be driven by wrestler willing to do the show...
