there's two type of comics generally, the story guys and the quick ones. some guys go on a 15 min + rant on one topic with about 20 jokes within it, some guys go from "line to line" talking about various things here and there but making it flow, and making it work. either kind is alright with me, i cant really even think of a "popular" comic that i dont like (aside from Dice, like i said before) actually no, i cant stand carlos mencia

agreed 100%. I think a lot of his material has been done before but his energy is what really made him stand out from other comics.
I can see where the Reagan comparison comes from though, when dane tells a joke that involves a bit of explaining he delivers a little bit like Reagan does.

no, that's what he wants you to think. The fact is he sensationalized everything to the point of absurdity. I'm sorry I saw Jesus get nailed to a cross in a movie a long time ago, using jello as blood. I was nearly traumatized. I grew up catholic, I was in a catholic high school, and I went to church as regularly as anyone could. Till I hit college... :) Now I'm a Pagan Catholic and I feel a lot better about life.

Yea, they still committed conspiracy to commit murder, but the motivation wasn't evil or something like that. Also, I will never see it. There was a guy apparently in the cell with mel gibson, he was quoted as saying, "nice uniform, what does 'SS' stand for?"
Oh I thought he just wrote it from the new testament and people were saying the new testament was anti-semitic. Ill never see it, but yeah you are right, Gibsons true colors came out.

you really can't comment without seing it first. i always hate when the religious right does that, so this is just as wrong. i saw it in the theater and it seemed fairly accurate/straight-forward to me, if a little graphic. if you follow the bible, the story is what's in there.

Well I am basing his true colors purely on his hate speech to the police. Like you said I couldnt judge whether or not I think the passion is anti-semite without seeing it. If it is just like the new testament says I wouldnt consider it anti-semitic at all.... Basically that would be saying that the christian religion is anti-semitic as a whole. I dont buy that. A LOT of support for israel comes from christian people.

that was a general statement I should have clarified and not direct at you. I did have a mother tell me all the scenes I should have gone to see, and by her description and reading what was done in the movie and how it was done, yes, I can say what I will say. I will not perport it to be fact. It is pure opinion.
Anyway, i wanna kick ESD in the balls for his suggestion on a costume change. They changed it that exact way for a series and then switched it back because it didn't sell.
