ESPN has given Harold Reynolds the boot. No word on why or who will be replacing him. <a href="http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14026863/from/RS.1/" target="_blank">http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14026863/from/RS.1/</a>I am actually upset about this. I really liked him on the show. I think he added a lot, and unlike Michael Irving on the football show, did not YELL ON THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS to get his point across. He always had good insight and was a decent interviewer.

If Michael Kay is fired and replaced with Harold Reynolds I will reconsider my relationship with Christ.EDIT: By that I mean I think it would be great if Reynolds replaced Kay.

I heard about this earlier, and I was really surprised by it.  He's been on BBT as long as I can remember.  I wonder what happened?  I can't imagine they fired him for anything on air, since he's a lot better than Kruk's insight (or lack thereof).

This sucks, he was actually the only former athlete that I liked on ESPN. He knew his shit and never acted like an ass. I cant wait to see what the reason is they fired him. Other then killing someone what reason could you fire him? If its because anything sexual, like his personal life he should sue the shit out of them.

They really need to get rid of Orestes Destrade.  I mean it's an obvious play to the Hispanic community and he was a below average player and an even worse analyst.

i thought that guy just got them coffee and somehow he landed a spot on the show.And what is funny about Micheal Irvin is that as bad as he is on the TV he is that good on his spots on the Dan Patrick show.  There he is insightful, more reserved but will talk about the party days when he was with the CowboysAnd ESPN really misses Rob Dibble for baseball as well

A friend of a friend worked at ESPN in CT before moving with ESPNU to NC and said that Reynolds was a douche in the office/in person.I liked him as a player and didnt mind him as an analyst.He was OK on the college baseball stuff but a little too combative at times.He got into a verbal fight w/ Golic a few years ago after Texas lost to Cal State Fullerton ( I think ) and the coach ordered his team not to shake hands.Golic's point was that it didnt matter how you felt after the loss that it was customary to shake hands and Reynolds went in about how when you lose you shouldnt shake hands w/ those that beat you.Reynolds was way dickie on that point and probably the only time I disliked him.

I think he originally came up with the Pirates ( as a lefty catcher ) but eventually moved to 1st and/or the OF.Not sure what teams he was with though.

Thank God!  I am so happy.  Maybe ESPN got tired of his bad attitude and negativity.  He was so damn awful.  The only compliments he would give were backhanded.  I've never heard someone that is so bitter.  Let's get rid of Joe Morgan now.  I'm not sure who's worse - him or Harold.  Hopefully FOX will get rid of Kevin Kennedy and Buck and McCarver.  Maybe I'll be able to watch national games someday.

I did notice his only year as a full time starter he did play 153 games with 20 home runs  87 rbis, not bad for 1 year but come on.

Good. He ruined Baseball Tonight. I was pulling my hair out everytime he talked. Phillips is just as bad. I can't believe it's come to the point where I agree with Kruk but I do. Especially on the A-rod stuff.I never thought I'd say that.

I was actually watching the sunday nite broadcast, before the sunday nite game, and there has been some tention between Harold and the Krucker... The most hated Mets GM ever (see Scott Kazmir trade) also seem's to be a bit of a prick and I'm sure had some issues as well.... Hope he lands on his feet .... first Ben Sparks... now him... this week is starting off to be quite the lovliest....

I've heard Steve Phillips on ESPN Radio and he's not that bad.If its true about him being fired for Sexual harassment I hope that they caught him red handed because to fire him w/out investigating it would be bad.He must've had a history of playing grabass on the set or something.

Some people have a flirting personality or overly friendly one, like hugging etc. I'm like that, if someone told me they didnt like that then I would just stop talking to that person so they wouldnt feel uncomfortable. That's why I think he probaly had a history of this, which was documented as would probably be corporate plociy, and they found conclusive evidence that he did it again fater being warned.That's the only way they would've acted this fast.Even if the current allegations were false, they probably wouldnt have wasted time investigating it too much because of a previous event.

there was an unauthorized book about the first 20 years at ESPN and Tirico also used to be a big time coke user.  They said it was so bad that they had to get a new sports ticker machine because the top of the first was so cut up by razor blades
