Athens is tight. I grew up not too far from there in S.C. and used to hang out in Athens on weekends in high school. Still catch some good concerts there. Saw Dolemite there one time too.
I am in Atlanta.
How come you guys hate the Braves so much? I could never understand a team as successful as they are not selling out playoff and World Series games.
Yeah, and how come you have a hockey team now?

I can't speak for the hockey team, I grew up in SC and root for the 'Canes, so I'm pretty pleased there.

As for the Braves, I'm not sure what the deal is. I know we have had empty seats in a lot of playoff games of late, but I don't think the same was true when we made the WS. I think that's just kind of a piled on rumor, but I wouldn't be amazed if it were true. After 95 people became used to the team floundering in the postseason, as they had done prior to the 95 title. I think the city is mildly enthusiastic about the team. But this is the south, and baseball takes a backseat to football anyway.

Comparing it to NYC however, like a lot of Mets and Yankees fans have, it's harder to have constant sellouts with 500,000 people in the city as opposed to what, 8 mil or so in NY and burroughs? Pluse you can see all the games for free on TBS.
