Indeed he did.

Lido West is definitely the way to go. The amount of college teenage woment there is unreal. I spent practically every day I wasn't working ther during summer breaks. Kind of hard to find though. Take the LIRR to Long Beach and get a cab, he will know. If not it is about 2 miles East from the down Main Street. Look for two white pillars about six feet tall on your right hand side. That is the entrance, if you make it to Lido Beach (you'll know it because it has the cheesry mushroom canopies) you have went to far.

Why not try Fire Island? Where else can you find a naked gay body builder? Just leave the pets at home.

http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/435081p-366432c.html

You got two good options:
Long Beach: better than Rockaway, and the A train back into town
from Rockaway is pure hell or,
Sandy Hook: Alright, it might cost a lot more (like $33 round trip), but
take a ferry from the east side (34th street) down the river, across
the harbor, and over to Sandy Hook. Good beach, and great ride there
and back.
