For the past year I've been on birth control and this past week I haven't gotten my prescription filled yet so I haven't taken it all week and since then I have been dizzy. Is this normal to happen when you go off it? I'm going to get it filled this weekend so hopefully that'll stop it because I have felt like crap all week. If it's not a good thing, well....it was nice knowing everyone.

You wont need the birth control if you'll stop volunteering to be gangbanged at the local biker bar.
I get the same effect all the time. My stomach is bothering me and I call in sick to work. As soon as I call in sick, my stomach starts feeling better. It is psychosomatic.

She had a rough time right after. As somnene else said since it is an artificial hormone your body gets used to it, when it is gone you can get a little messed up. Its similar to when somenoe stops taking anti-depresents.

Check with your Dr as well about if the gap in taking the pill may affect its effectivness. Sometimes you have to let the pill get back in yourseystem a month or two before it is 100 percent effective.

If you have not taken your oral contacetives for a week I would give them atleast a full cycle plus the next full week of the second cycle before you could trust thier effectivebness. (Ive been a pharmacist for 20 years). Also depending upon what kind of pill you are taking low dose, multi phasic, regular dose or high dose mono phasic, when you start them can be critical to thier effectiveness. If you are on a multiphasic Ortho Tricyclin, OTC Lo , or the like you may want to wait until you next menses to start them to get back on cycle. Any question please refer to your MD or pharmacist before you trust thier effectiveness.

KC

I dont mean to gross anyone out but the BC pills are more used for regulation purposes and less of the actual birth control purposes.....we still use condoms just in case....and it feels fantastic....im still glowing.

Yeah, I don't think it makes as much of a difference to girls.

This reminds me of a song:
