Sleeves, the AMV stuff is amazing. The thing that sucks about it is that there is nothing comparable which could take its place, so <u>don't stop writing!!</u> Your literary voice is just as strong as your voice work. If you haven't sought publication, you should.

<p>The Stallworths need an FTP site where members can upload recordings of secrets for the enjoyment of their fellows. If anyone out there who claims to be a Stallworth has these types of resources I suggest we organize. Think of the secrets we're missing.</p>

My .mp3 player has a microphone and is really easy to accidentally activate. It stores these phantom snippets of my life in a folder, and every once in a while, I'll check these files, spying on myself and those around me. They usually garner a crumpled up five dollar bill, but occasionally, a good one comes along and I'll take the five dollar bill and neaten it, flatten it, coax it back to life.

<p>Wow Sleeves, I went on vacation in Iowa, illinois, nebraska, Wiscon and Michigan and i came back and found that i've missed so much. I put on my radio ears to your 30 minute shows, they are really quite funny and interesting, you are always real nice when it comes to comments. I feel like i made suggestions and then i ran away. I swear i was just living it up in the beautiful midwest. Thanks again! </p><p>BTW i love the youtube videos! </p>

<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman'">OK… at the risk of being abused for my “sensitivity” (hey I’m new, go easy on me) I first listening to episode 18 in the car, driving home at night and I almost pulled over at the end because of the way the narrative and the overall production built really hit a nerve in me… it was actually getting hard to concentrate on the driving… so 18 would definitely seem like a strong ending… OK I’m done</span>

Sean - pardon me for addressing you directly, rather than your alter-ego.<div><br /></div><div>You've more than proven through your 30-odd performances (AMV, R&F material + the impromptus) that your instincts are solid.˙ I think it's great that you're looking for opinions or consensus from us on how to package a live performance, but I'm sure that you already know which critical installments advance the story tightly for a theatrical experience.˙ That said, may I suggest that you also consider getting backers to book an entire season of AMV live performances.˙ I'm sure if you found the appropriate venue you could perform all of them as part of an ongoing experience, and sell subscriptions as well as single-performance tickets.˙ You might find that to be a more lucrative albeit draining endeavor.</div><div><br /></div><div>Further, publishing the narratives a la Burroughs, I believe, is absolutely necessary for Sherwin's posterity. Perhaps even a talking book CD series would be a way to go, as I"m sure that there might be a market for these discs.˙ I believe there are many in the 50+ demographic who aren't comfortable downloading your work but would certainly buy them outright.˙ They would also make good merchandise in the lobby of whatever venue is smart enough to house your performances.</div><div><br /></div><div>all the best of luck and I hope to hear more impromptus, and perhaps a step-out to XM one day???</div><div><br /></div><div>regards -˙</div><div><br /></div><div>john</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>

Right after that, the reaction, "I am Corn!" maybe my favorite moment in all of AMV, it's so perfectly absurd. Only to be followed up by an even better moment, "Cooooorn Monger...."

really, I went the exact opposite way, if you remember, right before everything went down with the bird and Mr. Graves, etc, the conversation about the Morphine Ghost we heard about severe reactions to it where all sense of reality is lost, it would be really easy and would make a lot of sense to create a new story arch from that point as the "reality" of the series, taking the last ending as a daydream.

Part of my strategy for dealing without having the buddays this week is that I'm finally getting to listen to AMV.
If you haven't listened yet, you absolutely must. It's a stunning piece of art. The last two I listened to were chapters 5 and 6, and both of them absolutely floored me. By the time I got to the end of chapter 6, "The Pennbennies", I was sitting, transfixed, misty-eyed, practically in tears.
Bravo, Mr. Sleeves. Bravo.

Fucking Incredible!
Having heard the songs Sleeves has done for R&F, I wasn't sure what to expect from his show, but I was pleasently surprised. The writing was exceptional, the character is well-conceived, and I even enjoyed the musical selection. All in all, I found it an enjoyable way to waste an hour-and-a-half of my Saturday afternoon. Yesterday, with XM dead in the water, I got caught up fully with AMV, listening to all three shows in the second series.
I'm kind of liking the sort of stand-alone feeling of this season. If a big plot like the whole story of the Stalwarts and the Bildeburgers rises out of that, that would be cool (no way I saw the way the first series ended coming, and I'm trying to puzzle out how we got here from there), but I find these stand alone stories have a real emotional heft and resonance to them. Good work as always, Mr. Sleeves.
Doobie doobie doo...

All the haircut stuff is from my life...My mother cut my hair and I used to ask for the cut of a race car robber (which idea she rejected...she thought it would turn me into a little criminal). I've cut my own hair ever since.
When I do finally go to a barber my plan is to ask for the race car robber cut and see what happens...

that's Tom Waits - "Hang on St. Christopher"
after you rob the bank and hop in the getaway car, that's the tune to listen to
