It was treated well so I really didn't think anything of it. The strangest gimmick transformation to me will always be Bradshaw into JBL. No gradual build up to it at all, a complete 180 from what he was before.

Check out this week's ECW if you can. It was really good this week. Stevie v. Thorn was a fun, competitive match, as was Miz v. Nunzio. The Vis match was a squash, but it wasn't bad at all. He threw those guys around with some fun, different stuff.

Then the main event, which was a really, really good match between Morrison & Burke v. Punk & Dreamer. Morrison and Burke showed some amazing offense and it was one of the best displays of a heel team controlling a match in a long, long time. The crowd was ridiculously into the match, too.

It's too bad things went sour with Heyman because obviously he would have been the best choice, but Estrada is just awesome to listen to on the mic and I don't see anyone else being able to do a better job other than Matt Striker but he's doing an amazing job managing Big Daddy V.

Speaking of V, if Punk wins the title at Summerslam, he's got a new contender in V already. That is if Marcus Cor Van doesn't come back which I'm hoping he will.

It's enjoyable watching ECW since they actually give matches time to tell a story. The older guys have a nice role there with Stevie and Dreamer being lower,but always having a shot and guys like Punk and Elijah who can put on really good matches.

In my opinion, ECW should have started after the very first One Night Stand PPV. There you could have still used all those ECW Originals as well as integrate some new talent. At least the roster at that point wouldn't be so thin and TNA wouldn't have snatched them up.

Why, oh WHY would they rush Big Daddy V into a title match like this?

You built a fun, interesting "Chase" to the PPV, and would have had a great title match with Dreamer or Burke against Punk. Then you just flush the whole thing with a squash at the last second?

It makes no sense. They could have spent the next month properly building toward Punk-BDV for the next PPV. Now it's just rushed and forced and wastes a month of great matches from Dreamer, Burke, and Thorn.

ECW absolutely could stand alone. They have a good enough roster with people who aren't even being used properly as it is, and they're still the best wrestling show on TV. RAW, SmackDown and Impact could learn a thing or two from ECW.

Sure ECW has Dreamer, Balls, Nunzio, and Stevie still, but they're just filler talent and most of the real current people getting a push, aside from Punk, are all heels. No matter what, the ECW roster will never be unique in my opinion because it's WWE Superstars we've either seen or are not interested in with the exception of Punk and any Originals left. I know I still bitch about it but I can't help but feel that Vince dropped the ball after the momentum of the first One Night Stand where he had a gigantic roster of ECW Originals all on the card, a great storyline to set up them getting their own show and still being rivals of the other brands, and at least a fuller roster that would allow the introduction of newer wrestlers like Burke, Punk, and Thorn to be a bit more meaningful rather than starting out as just filler but reluctantly having to become their focus.

It wasn't long ago that Orton aligned himself with Edge as well. However its easier for him to work a stable without Orton due to the ECW/Smackdown work agreement shit.

But if Orton was still in the picture, Rated RK Guerrero. I knwo I am not clever.

They won't bother with a stable name because it's not going to be a stable. Edge and his tag team partners could have been the Rated R Superstars but that didn't happen because WWE doesn't know how to read Edge's tights that they give to Ryder and Hawkins. Instead of having Smackdown talents on ECW, they should just import more OVW talents that are ready to go.

It was just announced at today's Smackdown/ECW Taping in London, England that Mike Adamle is the new announcer for ECW. He is set to call tonight's entire broadcast.

The word going around backstage at the show is that Joey Styles will be moved to another area within the company.

Yeah but that's flawed logic (not on your part)....wouldn't that mean that all the heavyweights wouldn't be special then? Obviously defined personalities would be the key to making them special....

Cruiserweights have a long history in other countries of getting over but WWE has buried them from the start by trying to position them as stars and alternately using them as enhancement talent for the heavyweights. Jushin Liger was a big deal because he was kept in his own division. When he mixed in with the heavies it was a big deal and he was protected. Rey Mysterio had the most absurd world title reign in the history of wrestling outside of David Arquette and Vince McMahon....

They got rid of the cruiserweight division because they never had their heart in it to begin with. They established it b/c they felt like they needed something to counter WCW's show stealing cruiserweight division but they never went all the way with it. It's the same with the divas now...sure they're wrestling more but I think that's only in response to the fact that TNA is drawing ratings with their women actually wrestling...give it a few months and we'll be back to pillow fights in no time.

I don't see why Matt can't have both titles? I don't know how they could give a title to Henry. He is so godawful that they had to bring in someone else to speak for him.

I really forgot how I really hate the entrance videos, but I loved the Attitude era theme music....

I had all the WWE Music Vol. ###'s until the past few years......use to have two 12 inch diamond audio speakers with a 1500 watt amp rolling around town bumping to Jericho's theme music......


but on topic, it's nice that Christian is back. But, he's obviously being buried by McMahon for leaving.

I don't think he's being buried. I think they need someone like him to be the forefront star of ECW because it might not be enough to leave it on the shoulders of a new guy like Swagger to carry the brand. Christian has the experience, the ability, and the fans behind him to be the focal point of the brand. This is exactly what ECW needs.

Any star coming over from a competing company will have the "Loyalty" feud. Any returning star will have a "Discipline" feud where they have to learn their lesson for ever crossing the E.

I think everyone who has come from TNA has been in ECW. Monty Brown, Braiden Walker, and now Christian.

I also think if you bring him back right into a feud with Edge you just put him right under Edge's shadow again. If you do give him the title and keep them separated even for a little while, you can build him up as a strong contender. Although if he were able to debut like CM Punk did, in front of a "classic" ECW Northeast crowd I think it would have given him a great rub.

Christian has been away for 3 years. Alot of people do not watch TNA. There will be a solid percentage of people who really do not know who he is. So let him go To EcW get his wins and eventually go to SmackDown or Raw. If he started off on SmackDown he would start off losing to Edge or Jeff HArdy. Not a great way to return.

He was a mid level guy in WWE, if it was Angle returning it would be in a main event spot. I guess they are gonna build Christian up and see if he can cut it as a singles wrestler in WWE again.

to me...when Christian and Edge were tag teaming, Christian was the mouthpiece. Edge is good but he just can't capture you and hold your attention much like Christian can.



so maybe I am wrong....but sending him to ECW is burying him in my eyes. Who can he have a legit fued there with? He's only gonna be there to just put over young, up and comers.
