Since there's threads for HBO's other shows last night... I liked the show, it had an interesting vibe to it, but I thought Bob Kelly  was the funniest and most interesting one on their.  That guy Jay is a douche and will obviously get trashed by the other guys for the entire show.I haven't seen much of Dane's standup, but all I get from the show is that Dane is over animated and just yells his punchlines, and the reason he has the fan following he does is because of his looks.

Im torn on the show. A few parts were funny, and I had a few decent laughs. But they get so fuckin gay, and that whiney bitch born again guy needs to be punched in the throat. And all of them are way too sensitive.

Danes energy definitely CAN be over-the-top. But, he does mix it up quite a bit.  Entire segments of his set are totally spoken & observational.  In other sections, he's screeching and doing cartwheels.  I'd be happy to send you some video bits that feature his calmer stuff.

I've seen some dane cook stand up. I dont really find him very funny at all. Could be why alot of the shit on the show annoys me

I'm willing to give it more of a chance, like Lucky Louie, but I was really hoping for more on stage comedy and less on the road bitching. Bob Kelly and that other guy really acted like immature, whiny high school girls.

I thought it was okay, but there really wasn't much to the first episode besides Bob Kelly making that one comic cry.  If it's the same thing from episode to episode it will get kind of boring (bickering on the bus and doing shows again and again).  Note: if you give up on the series and don't want to stick with it all the way through, Bob Kelly breaks his knee in episode 4.

At the beginning they say something like "20 shows, 30 days, 4 comics and 1 bus". But then a few minutes later they show a couple buses show up. LIARS!The crying comic thing just looks way too fake and lame. I thought this wasn't going to be like other reality shows. Robert Kelly is the only one of them I'd want to hang out with (I can't get a reading on that 3rd comic (Gary?)) yet, so I'll need to see more of him.Dane said something about these 4 guys being at different stages of their careers. Does that mean how long they've been in the buisness or how successful they have been?

I think the second tour bus was for the crew.  I wonder what the hell that born-again dude is thinking.  If you're that sensitive you shouldn't be around comics, let alone be one.  Also, he's not funny at all.  I thought it was weird that after he had a hissy-fit and hid in the bus and cried, he got himself all pumped-up to give the best performance ever.  His "highlight" for the show?  Introducing the next comic.

A little more comedy, which I liked, but they still need to get rid of the bitchfest that goes on. I get that it's not easy to throw a bunch of people into a bus for a tour around the country, but frankly we don't give a shit about them arguing like whining high schoolers.

It's like they're just looking for stuff to fight about for the sake of the cameras.  It's fairly entertaining when they're just being themselves or being playful with each other.  That guy Jay sucks, but when Bob and Dane push him to do the "kill them with kindness" bit and he bombs horribly, it was just funny.

The part with Dane on the winner's stand after losing the go-kart race was kinda funny, but can Jay please stop telling that kindness joke. No matter how much he works on it, even if he perfects the delivery, the material isn't the least bit funny. Nothing will save that lame joke. Of all the comics, bob kelly is the only one I really laugh at. The opener eats it everytime he is on stage. That big guy is horrible and such a winey pussy, bobby is really funny, and dane just yells and uses his hands a lot. Together they make a good watchable show, but i would never pay to see any of the guys besides bob kelly.

Watching him freak out Jay Davis over using the sink water to brush his teeth and washing with it was pretty funny.

I don't have HBO, just wanted to join in with the people who say they don't get why Dane Cook is popular.He sucks.  Screaming and jumping around isn't a comedy act.  It's being a tard.  The only reason I'd check that show out is for Bob Kelly, and I'm not extrememly fond of him.

I don't have HBO, just wanted to join in with the people who say they don't get why Dane Cook is popular.I agree.  Now, I haven't listened to one of his full shows or anything (so I guess I'll have to before I claim "he sucks"), but usually a guy who's funny on stage is also funny off stage.  So far in this show, Dane is pretty boring off stage.When I was in college, it was beginning of the Adam Sandler era for college campuses.  And even if you didn't really like him, you knew the songs, you knew a few of the signature bits, etc.  You couldn't avoid it.  And even though I still consider myself a man-child & try to be in touch with what's funny on the high school & college level, the only Dane Cook bit I know is "shoot the guy in the Superman t-shirt...I guess not."I don't know...I just don't getting his appeal at this point.  But Bobby Kelly makes me tune in no matter what.

Well, I still don't get why Dane's a "Legend" as he was referred to last night, but at least he finally made me laugh last night.  They crew was eating dinner at a Crab Shack & everyone was bitching a little about how much work was involved for how little meat comes out of those things.  They ended the segment with Dane saying something to the effect of, "I was going to order ice cream, but I hear they just bring out a cow."  My cousin & I busted out laughing.  But still not so much as a chuckle from his stand-up routine.
