Hey all…

I’ve been trying to break into the voice over business for the last few months or so. A strange offshoot of this effort is that I created a radio show and I like to get some feedback on it. It’s not like the Ron & Fez show…it’s more like something you’d hear on Sonic Theater.

The first episode is 30 minutes long, is equal parts music and talk. The music is eclectic (John Cage, Rammstein, Tori Amos, Tom Waits) and the talk is ruminative and odd, but not crazy.

I’m working on the 3rd episode now and really just want to know if anyone would ever listen to this.

First episode is posted on my under-construction site, but can be heard by clicking:

http://www.atomsmotion.com/uploads/AMV1.mp3

It’s about 12 megabytes and will take a moment to load up.

thanks to yas!

Sleeves, I enjoyed the show. Barns, shopping carts, pants, outer space. What's not to like?

I dug it. Pause-y. Long pregnant pauses looming like slow vultures circling facetiously, waiting for their turn to be the silent target of other, younger vultures. Pause. And Repeat.

Your voice reminds me of Orson Welles trying his best to sell Peas. I consider this a very good thing.

As a lover of words, I appreciated your attention to words and wordplay and play.

I liked the last song the best, but then I might be partially impartial.

Keep it up & Good Luck!

And you should keep posting links to new shows.

And why not join Paul O one Friday for your very own movie reviews? I enjoyed the rhythm of your Sisterhood of the Pants review a lot more than his review....

thanks for listening Plethora...

Anything you'd fix? Should the little rambles be shorter? Should there be more David Byrne? :)

The pieces are mostly written out and while I can improv with the voice (it's not my real voice) I think I'd break down on the air.

ha ha...long live Paul O...

Thanks again. I really appreciate it.

Check is in the mail.

I figured that the pieces had to be written out, too measured and precise to be off-the-cuff ;) If you are aiming to do this show, you might consider lightening it up a bit writing-wise (e.g. practice ad-libbing stuff) or you'll forever be writing and re-writing.

So what does your "real" voice sound like? If that was put on, I laud you additionally in proportion to the fact that it's put on -- especially if your real voice is a whiney squeak. heh.

Oh and, one Byrne, one Velvet Underground and I'm good.

I just listened to your show and I thought it was great. The
shopping cart story was fantastic. I had it on in the backround and I
found myself stopping what I was doing to listen to the stories. The
voice is awesome and so is the creepy piano/rain music in the back. And
I DEFINATALLY loved the Waits (Even though it was somone else singing).
You need more of him. Keep up the good work and post some more shows if
you make them.
