We've gotten a Nintendo DS for our daughter and are giving it to her on her sixth birthday in October. Any suggestions on games that are good for a six year old? Ideally, one's that would hold my interest too.
I'm thinking Super Mario Brothers and Yoshi. Anything else?:help:

There are a bunch of games that have to do with pets. My niece who is 4 loves them. Check out those.

I have an R4 card for my DSi and have both The World Ends With You and Knights in the Nightmare. I'm still new to both and getting into it slowly...I'm also playing a game called Blue Dragon Plus that I'm really engrossed in at the moment. Its an rpg that has DBZ-like artistry. The cut scenes are pretty cool cause they encompass both screens and make it look bigger and better. I think its pretty fun so far...
Akira Toryama did the character designs.

Just got this last night. So far it is really good.
I got GTA Chinatown Wars for the iPod Touch. I'm having a lot of fun with it. So far the best game I've played on the Touch.

I've been thinking of getting it for the iPhone, but the $10 price tag makes me hestitate. I may just pick it up soon anyway.

my DS seems to have died. after powering it on it just dies after anywhere from 10 seconds to 5 minutes (after fully charging it)... anyone else have this problem? I bought it in oct 2006, so I guess that's not too bad for a small electronic...

You can get a new replacement battery on Amazon:
DS Replacement Battery (http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-DS-NDS-replacement-battery/dp/B000M0J4XW)
The "non-removable" batteries do run out after a bit, but can still replace them. Since your DS is from '06, you don't have to worry about the warranty anymore. Just open it carefully and replace the battery. Charge it up and you should be good to go.

ok kids. anyone who took my advice and ordered an R4 card for your DS continue playing with that. if you have a DSi or DSi XL you may want to get an Acekard 2i. if you updated it to firmware 1.4 or what ever it is you were shit out of luck much like i was up until a few days ago!!! google "Dazaiga`s Acekard 2i setup as of March 21 2010" and look for the update that is included in the .zip/.rar file. my DSi is chock full o'games and actually being used again!
enjoy!

can you load just one game on it, or can you fill it to capacity?
