Maybe even one of the best ever. Def should be in top 20 funny flicks of all time.

WOW! I thought I'd seen everything when I got my hands on the JAWS dvd last month.
Butt Stripes is a brilliant movie from start to finish. They don't make movies like this anymore...ya know? All good n shit. I mean movie prices go up and the quality of these piss poor movies go down. Sup with that? Nutty I tell ya.

ANYWAY - this may be John Candy's best roll. awww John-Candy-stripes. get it?

Anyway - Harold Ramis, SGT Hulka and his big toe, Bill Murray and John Candy round out this all star cast. Funny Funny Funny. This ones gonna be a hit.

One of the best Military spoofs of all time.

STRIPES -

watch it again.

Brilliant.

maybe this should be in old school.

even tho it has 18 minutes of new footage never before seen by the naked eye until now.

Seeing Candy mud wrestle to The Spinners' "Rubberband Man" is worth the price alone.
It was the second R rated movie I ever saw in the theater. My parents took me when we were off on vacation. My mother didn't like the idea of taking me to an R rated movie that they hadn't been able to check out first for overly objectionable content, but she relented. I remember the bare breasts being my favorite part.

There's just so much funny stuff. So many great lines, and it actually has a good story arc, to use a hated cliche. But you got that whole beginning before they even hit the recuriters office, the basketball the pushups the taxi ride the pizza the dress the girlfriend, and that's just the first part.

Recruting office scene may well be the best, boot camp rules, and it stays funny even with the EM-50 [?] urban assualt vehicle.

Funniest line, IMO:

LaRoquette: "Where the Fuck is my Truck?"

I always felt that the scene with the ladies and the old fashioned egg beater never really developed.

Maybe it's because I demand full penetration from my cinema.

Bill Murray is good in Stripes, but I wonder if he will ever get to play a total oddball. Like maybe a groundskeeper or a guy who "busts" ghosts like a cop would.

For those STRIPES fans out there - I highly recomend the extended version dvd. more boobs in this one.. AND it gets very weird.

ALOT of extra footage... 18 minutes worth. Thats alot of extra footage even tho it doesn't sound like much.

In one of scenes, John and Russle attempt to desert bootcamp and end up on a cargo plane with a bunch of parachuters.. btw - Russle has accidently eaten 6 hits of microdot acid given to him by Judge Reinhold - as he is peaking, they are ordered to jump out. They land in a mexican jungle where they have been captured by a mexican tribe of some sort and are almost killed - before Bill Murray saves the day by passing a huge joint around and singing tunes to the tribe.... they escape...

it has to be one of the weirdest things Ive ever seen. It almost becomes a different movie.

SOme great extra footage at the begining as well - John talking Russle into joining the Army.

A somewhat goofy sex scene w/ murray and the mp chick. ( nice rack / more boobies in this version)

REmastered audio soundtrack as well. Looks and sounds awesome.

if you are a fan of this flick - you need to go buy it today.

I've got to one-up Mikey, here. I'm a couple years older but,

1st R movie - Animal House, at the Oritani in Hackensack.

2nd R movie - Slapshot at the Cinema 35.

Also saw Jaws in Brick, while on summer vacation at Seaside! I know not R, but intense for a kid, while vacationing at the shore!

I want me an EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle.
