Who's your favorite female heroine in literature, film, or TV. I was debating whether or not to put this in Entertainment but I figured it might be better here.

I always liked "Ripley" in "Aliens".
As for the real world, Mother Teresa gets my vote.

in film it would have to be lili taylor, parker posey, or janeane garofalo.
lizzie borden is also one of them.
in literature it would have to be sylvia plath, emma goldman, or germain greer.
i need to think about this some more.

i should also add edna st. vincent millay, clara fraser, ti-grace atkinson, simon de beauvoir, dame darcy, and julie doucet.
i can't think of anyone for tv, though.
