The "new" Mets song is indeed terrible. I wouldn't be suprised if they've yanked it already. The new helmets are kinda futuristic-lookin' with vents on the top. The Dodgers wear them, too.
Some teams wear the new helmets, some don't. I don't see the big deal. It's not like the giant Konica logos the Yankees wore when they played in Japan because Konica payed for their travel. And as far as Mets fans hating the new song, welcome to six weeks ago.

I don't think they use the song anymore since it was so shittily received.

There are more than 42 Met fans, and there will be even more when the fly-by-night Yankee fans (85 percent of them) jump ship.

The helmets are designed to keep the head cooler than the old ones. Its not meant to sell anything.

They just changed it? What...the "Meet the Mets...Greet the Mets...watch the other team come and Beat the Mets" wasn't good enough?

Ed:I just heard the new song. God it sucks.

there was a newspaper article the other day about how badly the fans
hate the song, it's not really fresh news. I for one can't stand it and
think they should go back to Meet The Mets, but that's just me.

46,000 people were at Shea yesterday, and so long as my hearing is
as good as I think it is, I didn't hear any of them chanting

i disagree with Moe. i believe there might be more then 42 mets fans. i can't prove it but my dad and me makes two, my roommate is 3, patches is 4. (unless patches is my dad or my roommate).

It's almost as bad as that Yankees "How Ya Doin'?" song but it's not quite as good as "Who Let the Mets Out?"

#7

the helmets are ok. the song is as gay as the day is long. the uniforms, i agree, they just sell more with each one. the black jersey looks like its a softball uniform.
