Who is O'Reillly blackmailing?! Seriously already.... Liddy worked back in the day because he was local and it was near the start of the whole conservative radio thing. O'Reilly and Savage are just blowing up the lineup. It's bizarre.

Make room for the Circus!

I also think it would be great if O'reilly was move to EL ZOL 99.1. The Hispanics have a real love affair with him.
I need the buddies to come back evenings.

When I first discovered Ron and Fez - They were LIVE from WNEW 11pm - 3am.
That was some classic radio.

Ron and Fez - Radio's nightlight. A certain comfort with them on at night.

I just hate the daylight and daytime in general. But I'll stalk the show wherever they go.

But yes, night time R&F feel more right to me,

Did O&A talk about Don and Mike this morning? They mentioned on Friday that they would play clips of Don and Mike talking about O&A on their show and that the radio war was over (Old beef).

If I were O&A, I'd stop playing low rated radio shows like Don and Mike and Stern on the show. Sounds like a bad idea to me.

I look at it like Mystery Science Theater 3000. Those movies are awful without Joel/Mike and the bots there but enjoyable when they are watching with you.

I was curious to hear what Don and Mike had to say about them, I even know what day it was said, but I really don't want to download that day's show and listen to raw D&M.

I think Fluff mentioned it in another thread but it was basically Don saying (after the deal was announced) that it was a great coup and opportunity for them. In general, he made complimentary, positive comments. He said that Freda's death put things into perspective for him and that their "stupid radio war" was just that -- stupid.

I'm at a different place than I was 4 years ago when we fought with them - since Freida died, radio wars seem stupid unless there is some genuine hatred there, and at one point 4 or 5 years ago there was, but then Freida passed away and then I got an MP3 of Opie and Anthony - and more specifically Jimmy Norton, who was really very eloquent and seemed to draw the line between, there's a radio war and there's real life - so, oops, i let another cat out of the bag that Opie and Anthony will be heard on this station again soon.

Mike: And you know, when you say, "More power to them," I have a great deal of difficulty in "working it up" - it was a great radio war - people like to listen to that - but the fact is you can't ignore the fact is that they have done what they have done - and these guys, i think, were victims of what anybody who does what we do - that could have happened to anybody with that whole thing - this company will come to you and be like, "Be as edgy as you can - do what what you can," and then when it hits the fan, you saw what happened to those guys, and out of that they did resurrect their situation

Don: Even when they got canned we said it was the management

Mike: With all the fighting we did, and it did get personal and it did get tense - but you said then that they shouldn't have gotten fired over that.

Don: Management knew - it's not like they didn't know what was going on. That's all - they are coming to work here.

Mike: It's hard not to have respect for anyone who bounces from adverse situations - and that's what Opie and Anthony did. Are we going to sit there and sing their praises? Of course not. We had a big radio feud with them. Talk about "paying dues," after being canned for what they were expected to do, and now they are back - I don't begrudge them that.

Don: They came to me and asked how I felt (about them coming back) - "BFD?" They have got to be better than the crap we are running on this station that's getting goose-egg ratings, so bring it on.

Mike: There is real life and radio life.

Do you think I could pay Ron and Fez to just come over to my place, hang out and talk? They wouldn't even have to be funny.
