Alright my editor to a column I write made me feel old today which Im not jusyt yet. Since its a book column I write I post a next time with some little tease of the next one.
I put at the bottom Next Time: That Guy who did Lite Beers Ads
Now I assume there are some old school guys who know what I'm tlaking about. The guy was so out of place with all the athletes and stuff. So make me feel like I'm not going insane and people do remeber them and tell me you know exactly who I'm talking about. Even better if someone had a jpg of the guyfrom the ads. if you really need to know go here

Not only do I remember those commercials, but he was in our local Apple Blossom Festival Parade in 1984. He rode the whole parade route in an open top antique car, while holding a Lite Beer can.

A friend and I pretended to be part of the parade and marched behind his car for about 2 or 3 blocks while walking those little foam alligators on the end of a coat hanger leash.

great then I'm not going out of my head at least some you knew its Mickey Spillane. I can still see those ads in my head. Actually one of his books (Survival Zero) I have has him sitting at a typewriter with a lite bottle right near him.
