Yesterday i had helped my Uncle Bill move from one senior community to another. I was at his house at 8 a.m. after getting approx 3 hours sleep(i work nights) so i was pretty tired right off the bat. We loaded our cars and vans(my Dad and my Aunt Helen) and then the moving guys came for the big stuff. I had to sit in my van for approx 3-4 hours waiting for my Uncle to have a walk-thru and then close on the new house.

Anyway, i'm heading over to his new place (Four Seasons in Lakewood) and i make a turn onto the road leading to the Guard House. The sign said 5mph but i was doing around 15-20. There was a guy following close behind as i pull to the window to talk to the lady and gain access to the complex.

As i'm talking to the lady the guy 'who is a resident' pulled up to the gate next to me to put his card in and gain access and all i hear is at first "you drive like you're dead" or something to that affect and then he calls me a "fucking asshole"

Being i was pretty tired it took me a sec to figure out he was talking to me and as he pulled thru the gate all i did was yell " are you talking to me " cause to be honest I was so tired and so damn surprised at what just may have occurred 'which it did'...

Have to tell you i was pretty pissed off after that. The guy had to be in his early 60's and all i say to myself is "some people go thru life and they never learn about respect or they just never grow up"...

that's all

Did you break his dentures?

I guess some people don't grow wise with age. They just get ruder.

Release the air out of that dudes tires next time you're up there.

He's not going to run and catch you if you know what I mean.

You might be doing him a favor if he does.

"Hey you fella watcha doing sonny? Get back here!" (starts running) "My heart!" (and falls down).

Then you can sprapy paint "Don't mess with the Funk" on his dead carcass.

Unfortunately people expect more when they get older. When I was in high school, my dad freaked out at the deli counter (he was in his 60s) at the supermarket when another person pushed herself in front of him and he missed his turn. HE FREAKED THE FUCK OUT. I was 16 and had to calm my dad down.

I'm sorry you went through that Ron, especially sleep deprived. Old people can be a pain in the ass.

I plan on being a BIG pain in the ass when I'm old!

If the guy's been that much of an ass his whole life, he must be one bad-ass mutha. He'd have to be, to not have been killed by an angry mob at some point in the past 60 years.

Today I was in front of an elderly woman who was driving like a bat out of hell - speeding, trying to cross the double yellow line to pass me, and leaning on her horn. I got so mad I gave her the international sign for "jerk off" and after I noticed the handicap tag on her rear view mirror I called her a "crippled old whore."

I kind of felt bad afterwards.

a weeks ago My chick and I went to Pete's Downtown in Brooklyn for dinner. there as a very old lady stuggling to walk passed us to go the ladies room. she looked like she was going to fall so i put an arm out for her to lean or to fall on if she needed to. instead of being nice about it she turned to me and said "mind you business and eat your dinner." I was never more insulted in my life. all i was trying to do was be nice. should have let her fall and laughed in her face.

These situations can usually be quite tricky. I'm never one to shy away from calling an ass an ass, but as a few people here mentioned it just doesn't feel right doing so to a grandparent like figure. Maybe it's the way I was brought up, but I usually can't go there. Yet the Funk situation where the guy actually cursed first would be the pandora's box opening I needed to give him hell.

I have two recent situations where I got pretty pissed.

The first happened yesterday as I was heading into an outpatient office involved in one of our studies. As I was going into the building from the parking lot, which is attached to the building by a series of metal stairs, I saw a little old lady with a walker struggling with the door to exit the building leading to the parking. So naturally I help her out and open the door wide and try to help in any other way. As I open the door and proceed to hold it from behind, a grumpy fuck of an old man gives the door, which is as far as it will go, a big unexpected push and literally knocks me on my ass and almost over the railing! He put everything he had into it and cursed at me as I fell. If this fuck was just a little younger I think I would have kicked the shit out of him, but I simply stated he was one hell of an asshole and went on my way. What a fucking asshole. I did see his wife, I assume, yelling like a banshee at him as she made slow progress to her car. The lesson I learned here was never stand behind a door, even if it's glass and the only place where you can hold it open for a little old lady. There was no other place to stand in trying to help, so I was in an a very strange spot.

Next, in my townhome complex we have another senior who just does whatever he wants and I've had enough. Basically the guy has an old yellow lab but refuses to pick up after it's huge shit storms and lets it piss on the tires of parked fucking cars of his neighbors. The guy is a retired coroner with get this, 17 fucking kids. Of course they're all at least my age right now since he has to be in his late 70's. However, due to the fact he was my elder and I've never had a verbal problem with him, I took the diplomatic route for the last few months first asking his kids and wife when they walked the dog to get him to stop letting his dog go in the landscaped areas on the side of his house (my front yard), on his neighbors cars, and pick the fucking shit up. Didn't even come close to working. Next I attempted to talk to the man himself and wow what an asshole. It was as if I asked him to murder his first born. The last nice approach was when I told him if it doesn't stop he'll be getting fined by the association as I'm now on the board. Through the board we even added picker bushes so it would make it much tougher to walk his dog through the flower beds (which he killed 90% of the flowers and left towering piles of shit). The landscapers always stay far away from this guys personal litter box as in the summer it makes the whole area smell fucking awful. Oh and I forgot to mention he's fucking awful to his dog. Constantly screaming at it if it doesn't go immediately and actually uses the leash as a whip of late to smack the dog in the head. I just couldn't bring myself to get in an argument with the man bc of the grandfather respect like issues, but that's done now.

Just yesterday I took a bunch of grocery bags and picked up every piece of shit in the area and threw it all over his patio, backyard and personal flower bed (which he surely takes care of). If it continues now the next step means shit on his car and doors. Hell it does belong to the him, not us. I consider it a service such as the lost and found. I found something he lost and was so kind as to even bring it back to him.
