Vh1 Has been Showing Love Monkey it's a great showits smart whitty funny and passionate (even if most of the music they get is pop acts) it's hiplike this got cancled in like 1 episode on cbsthats a shameim enjoying this series alot and its a shame it didn't last anyone else catching it on Vh1

i also loved this show and was very mad when CBS cancelled it after 5 episodes, such a waste...Tom Cavanaugh always gets the short stick...his other show Ed was awesome as well.  It was smart of VH1 to pick it up and they have plans to resign it to a 2nd season.

I was surprised that it wasn't a big hit.  It is exactly like Jerry Mcguire in every way. Down to the smallest detail.  That movie was such a big hit and the TV show taaaanked.  People are fickle I guess. I loved that friggin' show.

I ran into the lead guy on this show who used to play "Ed" on NBC at the Food Emporium on Broadway and 68th.  He was actually a very personable guy and was very nice.  Therefore, I wish him well.

I aswell loved Ed even thought it did deserve to end they got
painted into a corner i didnt want it to end but it was all feeling
down hill when the black guy in the wheel chair showed up thats the
down hill moment it wasnt his fault but it just seamed like the the
point witch it was going downward but man that was good i didn't watch that when it was on nbc i watched it on the tbs reruns Tom
Cavanaugh is so enjoyable in any thing i've seen him in well all i've
seen him in was Ed a couple of Scrubs Episodes and a bad Christmass
movie on Abc family but he is great really great on scrubs the episode where he was depressed and sat in a tub drinking beer after the dad died was so great " It is exactly like Jerry Mcguire in every way. Down to the smallest detail."but
Jerry Mcguire is unwatchable after the first 30 minuets maybe that
explains it all  and i didnt know that jerry mcguire was about
music man im going to have to rewatch that movie again i must of missed
it

Guy works at big money makin' talent agency.  Starts to feel that they need to get back-to-basics and have more personal relationships with their clients.  (add voiceover here) Guy gets fired.  The guy is a serial dater. (add voiceover) .... Cut to flashbacks of many unsuccessful dates.  Guy decides to bet it all on ONE client and attempts to steal that client from the big mega-agency.  He is successful. Watch the guy jump through hoops to make it happen for his one and only client.Add an abnormal amount of soundtrack ...very little score. Overlapping pre-recorded rock songs practically becomes a character.  Lots of slow camera close-ups of our main character, always with (perfectly suited) previously recorded  rock tune. -----Monkey Mcguire.

I acutally watched this show even when it was on network TV.  It's so quirky and amusing.  I've even gotten the manpiece into it as of late.  He used to mock me when I added it to the DVR list.

My friend was supposed to be on it, but the show was cancelled before her episode aired.  I'll have to look out for it now.
