Doctors don't actually want to work with you to solve a problem any more. They just want to give you some pills and send you on your way. You could wait a half hour to see them and only be in the room with them for less than 10. The last time I went to the doctor to get a few things fixed about myself (migraines and stomach problems and a few others) she wanted to just give me some pills to take when my migraines started and hopefully itll stop it. most doctors i go to for my migraines just want to give me pills to take when they start instead of trying to help me figure out what is causing them so i could prevent them from starting. the pills i was taking helped some of the time, it was 10 pills for 65 bucks (with insurance) not worth it. this fucking cunt actually had the balls to say "sometimes you just get them and there is no real cause" obviously she's never suffered from a migraine before because if you have you know that that shit don't fly. I suffer on a weekly basis from them and no one is willing to help so I was wondering if any of you knows a doctor or if i need to go to a neurologist or a specilist or just kill myself because i really cant take it anymore.

I would keep trying new doctors until you find one that will work with you.

When I was a teenager, I used to get horrible vomiting spells, stomach aches, headaches and slight fevers. My first pediatrician used to write it off as a "tummy ache" or "flu" and at most would give me antibiotics. Once it happened again, and my regular pediatrician was out, and the pediatrician filling in immediately sent me for some tests, and it turned out I had kidney reflux. I was 100% better after a minor medical procedure. It's hard to find a decent doctor.

You should go to a specialist and get a cat scan. I don't know how they'd treat it without medicine. That's what doctors have been doing for thousands of years.

if you are going to a general internist, then they will know basic
treatments for headaches, and they will stick with that. to get a more
complete work up, you should go to a specialist. a neurologist would
proabably be your best bet. if you could find one who specializes in
headaches, that would be ideal.

Do you drink alot of caffeine? You might be suffering from caffeine withdrawal.

Do you drink or do drugs? To rule out alcohol or drug withdrawal.

My
best advice to you is to keep looking for a doctor that you feel
comfortable with that with listen and explore other options besides
medication popping first. But that's how our society solves
everything("Not feeling good? Got a tummy ache? Feeling a fever coming
on?") take this! It's all about immediate gratification.

You
might try looking into doctors that practice the use of homeopathic
medicine. It's a more individual/holistic approach alternative to pill
popping doctors.
They are out there, somewhere. Cant remember how many it took, but it was a lot, but it was worth it to find one who takes time and tries diff stuff. It ain't easy, but hey, it's your life, and that's important.

I get migraines also & mine are hormone related. Do you notice they are more intense during the PMS week or right after your period? You may have the same thing as me. I can PM you info for a doctor to see but she is in NY. I can get her card from my mom, but I would talk to your OB/GYN.
Unfortunately, I think that it's become a lot more bottom line in the wake of managed care - thus quantity and billing over quality.

You might try looking into doctors that practice the use of homeopathic medicine.
