Remember a short lived show call " Renegades " ( no, not the one with Lorenzo Lamas ) ??
It actually had a young Patrick Swayze. It was about a bunch of gang leaders ( Chinese gang, All girl gang, Black gang, etc ... ) who get recruited by this cop to do undercover work. It was kinda like a " 21 Jump Street " except with punks.
Maybe they had 5 shows.
What about that one Brandon ??
It was on ABC.

OK, This one I think your making up..... I dont really remember seeing the show as you said it was a short run series, but i do have some info.
The Renegades An updated version of the Mod Squad. The Renegades are a street gang that's been given a choice of (A) Go to jail for the commission of various gang-related crimes, or (B) go to work for the police as a special undercover unit. Being clever kids, they choose (B). The cast also consisted of
