But just as a casual observer, why is pot even a problem? I understand the legality, but other sports look the other way on it, unofficially. He must have pissed someone off, or the NFL is extremely strict.

the guy has made millions of dollars. i'm really not sure how upset he is about it...

i heard ithe substance was 'other' than weed?

I think all sports are in the process of cracking down. THe thing about Ricky is that he knew this was a problem, and he fucking retired for a solid year off to bum around Asia smoking pot. He didn't have to come back, unless you buy that he owed the Dolphins money. He knew he was going to have to be tested constantly because that's how he got into trouble before. And it's not like marijuana is addictive. He could have just stopped. It's that simple.

In all fairness, I love this because I fucking hate the Dolphins with every fiber of my being.

I also heard it was "other than." He's still a colossal tool. He did appear in drag on the cover of Sports Illustrated with Mike Ditka.
