Digital Cable

Hey I just got digital cable where I live and it kicks ass.
So many channels, dont know what to watch.
They have soem cool music channels as well. They have VH1 Classics and it shows all the old 70's and 80's cheesy videos. I actually saw a Captain & Tennile ( spelling ?? ) video the other day. Most young people wont know who they are, I'm surprised I remember it, but they were a " lounge act " in the 70's. Had like one notable hit that I could remember. I also woke up to the Police singing " Don't Stand So Close To Me ".
Kickass.
I have like 1000 movie channels. One of them was showing like a guy movie marathon. It had Fletch, followed by Blues Brothers, then Caddyshack and then Animal House. And it wasnt TBS where they'd edit out a lot of good stuff. Its the pure versions.
As an added bonus I got a cable modem, so now I get get my porn super-quick. So I've got that going for me.

I got digital cable a couple of months ago and it's f'n great. The on-screen menus kick ass.

I don't have all the channels, but a friend is going to hook me up with a black box, so I'll have like 999 channels.

Right now I'm listening to one of the commercial free radio stations. (80's Hits, U2 in on!) :)

Oh yeah, those station things kick ass.
I used to have something like that when I lived in Louisiana.
It was just the box and had a remote control that would tell you all about the songs. It listed Artist, track name, album , etc ...
This is a little better because it shows it on your TV.
We used to play a drinking game with it. We'd keep flipping the channels and you had to guess the song and artist that was on. Whoever got it right assigned drinks to the other players. Amounts depended on the type of music. For example rock was 3, classic country was 5, and showtunes where like 10 ( but if you got these right, there would be some severe eyebrow raising.
The steps you'll go through to involve drinking in mundane and routine activities. Sweet !!

Yeah I got the cable modem too along with the cable phone service. We got a great deal and the phone bill is really cheap.
