How do I assign which songs I want on the iPod once I have more songs on my HD then can fit into the black soapbar, or when I buy a second? Make a new playlist, or by checking what I want? And is that song by song, or if I want an entire album can I go into the hard drive and grab that folder? In short I cant manage songs for shit, coz half of them display a Question mark and wont play until I find them on the hard drive while all is connected. Is my clulessness apparent enough yet? And my wordiness?

Sounds like what you need is a good MP3 ID Tag renamer/editor program. The Ipod uses ID tags only so the windows filename doesn't matter. My ipod broke years ago so I don't know what's good nowadays but I'm sure there's a free one out there, someone here should know one. It'll scan the your HD for mp3's etc prompt you to rename and update the mp3's with an album cover. It makes navigating your ipod simple, genre, album, artist whatever...



FLAC sounds great but I don't feel the quality increase justifies the huge filesize. I always ripped at 192kps or 256kps with VBR (variable bitrate). I'm no audiophile but they sounded perfect to me. A typical FLAC album is about 250-300Mb vs 90Mb for mp3's so if you're ripping your entire music collection, even with a 160GB Ipod you'd run out of space fast using FLAC.

With the amount of time it takes to do that you want to make sure you get it right the first time.

An SD card it just another type of memory card (like for digital cameras and such. A micro or mini SD card is a smaller version for things like cell phones, but have an adapter that makes them fit the SD port on your computer. It's like having 1 or more GB of memory on your fingernail.

Yeah the cards have other uses; some use Compact Flash cards to use as auxiliary RAM or something weird, someone who knows that stuff better then I can explain.

SD and SDHD [SD = Secure Digital; SDHD = Secure Digital/High Density; I have 8GB SDHD cards, they prolly get larger] are nice and small, Canon newest DSLRs the Xsi, uses SD instead of Compact Flash which all the others did. Seems a popular memory device for now.

Chris, even pocket digitals can eat up 5MB or more per click, depending on how much jpeg compression, even at 2MB per click, a 128 MB card will run out of space quick.

The good news is Moore's Law and competition = the price of good and cheap and high capacity memory is here to stay and will only get cheaper and bigger and faster. 2GB or 4GB SD Cards are cheap, and you can shoot all day, hundreds of pics, before filling one.

MAXALT is the only thing thats ever worked for me. You take it when you feel the migraine coming, and it dulls the pain to I guess what would be called a "normal" headace, and it eventually passes.

It's by far the most relief I've gotten from the multitudes of pills I've been given for migraines since I was 10.

As to the first part of your question, it has been claimed that the term "SUV" was coined by the media in 1986 to describe the Cherokee Limited. It has also been claimed that Jeep is the oldest SUV brand with Land Rover coming in a close second. I'm not sure about the second part of your question; maybe just "four-wheel drives."

Same goes for Dos Equis, though you will find that in most local bars south of the border.

However, the breweries down there are Americanized for the most part.

It's not a 900 number commercial. It's a commercial for one of those "Match.com/E Harmony type" sites. Customers are giving testimonials about how good the profile questions are. Apparently, one of the questions is "Are you self aware".
