I'm having trouble figuring out a problem with the random play feature on my Android. I don't know if it's a phone setting or a setting on Rocket Player. Every time I try to play it on random, it will play all songs that begin with the letter "B". It's changing artists after every song, but not the first letter of each song title. Anyone have any clues?

Why do I always feel like an asshole when I give a girl my number?
Case and point: I was at a liquor store with a friend of mine today and as I was leaving I heard a girl calling my name. Turns out it was the cashier who is a girl who I went to high school with. She was a year or two younger than me and to be honest we were never close, but we were friendly whenever we were around each other. So we start talking about life and what we've been doing. She jsut graduated college and I'm telling her about my new job and all that. Meanwhile she's still rining up cashiers and I kind of feel bad that I'm being a hidnerence, even though I wasn't really. So I turn around and look for some paper and couldn't find any so I took out a card from wallet from the guy who is my banker. And I write my number on the back of this guys business card and give it to the girl saying we should catch up sometime. It was funny because she said "oh wow your card" and I had to correct her and say "no...it's a guy at the banks card...I just...had nothing else to write on...but yeah let's meet up sometime. Have a nice Memorial Day." And I leave.
I did nothing all that wrong there, but I still feel like an ass.

So far, I'm liking it. One question... Do you have your calendar on it? I added the Google calendar, and it only shows one recurring item that I've had set up from my Android phone. Shouldn't it show all of the stuff I've added to my calendar?

I just use the generic google news page. I used to use google which you could customize, but I'm more interested in news. Plus, I only use a desktop at work and do everything else thru my phone. I used to use msn like a decade ago until it got all weird itself.

Consult with the guy you want to do your cover up. I've known people who had stuff lightened pre cover up and also shops that offered lazer removal, but I also agree you may cause a scar that makes it more of a mess.
You may be surprised and not need it lightened it all saving yourself the pain and money.

So, PB did your friend ever get her email back?
One person told her to have the pw reset code sent to her phone. She then said "Finally got through. Reset everything. Thank goodness!!!"
Don't know if that helps you.

What are your thoughts on people getting charged with murder, when they provide the drugs in an overdose death? It's been happening a lot around here lately. I can agree with one case. In that one, a woman gave both her husband and her boyfriend lethal doses of Fentanyl, and it's pretty apparent that she intentionally gave them the lethal doses, possibly without them even knowing it. But there are several cases pending, of people supplying heroin to regular heroin users, who end up OD'ing. It's awful, but how is this murder?

I think it's shit. Does that mean that if you sell a legal firearm to someone and they kill themselves or someone else that you're responsible because you sold them the gun?

I agree that it's shit, but the legal firearm isn't a good analogy. They are basing the murder charges on supplying something that ISN'T legal. And in some cases, they're saying the suspect actually injected the drugs into the "victim". But I don't think that's in all of the cases.

Yah that case you speak of specifically surely is, but the rest is manslaughter tied to a host of other drug charges.

You aren't confusing homicide with murder are you? Media reporters love to use the term "homicide" to fluff up a story because they know that a lot of people hear "homicide" and actually think of murder.

I think if you could show that the drug dealer had bad dope or misrepresented the strength of it they should be treated like a wrongful death resulting from a non illicit drug.

Nope. In every case, they are being charged with murder. The most recent guy supplied the heroin that killed his father and his father's girlfriend. He's facing two murder charges. There's a guy who was just charged for the murder of a girl with heroin, and just before that, a guy was charged with supplying the heroin that killed a popular local death metal drummer (No... Not Moe).
EDIT: In case you haven't guessed, heroin is a big problem here. It's so much cheaper to drive a couple of hours to Baltimore, and buy heroin on the street, than it is to try to score oxy, like most of the rest of the country.
EDIT EDIT: Now that I listen, they weren't really "death" metal. Just metal.

How the fuck did someone get enough info to make a copy of one of my credit cards?
Cap One called me today, to ask if I tried to make a purchase at Sam's Club in Texas. No. I didn't. And I still have my card. I don't use this particular card very often, and all I've used it for in the past two months is places like Food Lion, and one pizza/sub place. I know for a fact, the Food Lion swipe boxes can't possibly have those things added to, like some people stick on ATM machines, that read your card. The pizza place and possibly Buffalo Wild Wings are the only places I've had to hand the card over to a cashier, and I haven't made any online purchases with it in a while.
I'm just glad Cap One was on the ball enough to realize I've never used my card outside of Virginia, and called me right away.

I think you need to actually make a digital copy of the strip on the card, in order to make a copy that will work at POS station. And no entity such as Facebook has my credit card info.

Well, I checked my checking account this morning, and "they" got my debit card, too. There was a $50 charge from a Target in Chicago, just two hours after the one on my Cap One card in Houston, yesterday. :wallbash:
Unlike Cap One, my credit union requires me to file a police report in order to get my money back. It took several hours for the Chicago police to call me back. I guess they are busy there, or something. The officer who called me back sounded like a TV/movie stereotype of a black female big city cop. I kept picturing the one that kept wooing Sgt. Murtaugh in Lethal Weapon. Actually, though... Wasn't she like a meter maid or toll booth person? Anyway... I had to explain to her how it was possible for thieves to have duplicates of my cards. I explained that one way is, they swipe my card with a pocket swiper, which stores the info on the strip on the back of the card. They then use that to create a copy of the card. She said, "You'd think if they were smart enough to do all that, they'd think of something better to do with their lives!" Well, she finished taking my report. Though she was very curt at the beginning of the call, I guess my charm warmed her over, and she was very friendly. I wished her a happy Thanksgiving.
I talked to Target, too. They have the register number, transaction number, and time of day. They said, once I made the police report, they would have video of the person doing the transaction, to hand over to the police. I wonder if I get to see that at any point? That would be cool!
To be safe, all of my cards are being reissued. Fortunately, I can borrow money from my dad, until the new cards arrive. Christmas shopping, and all... As it stands, in the past month, the only place I've had to hand both cards to, for them to scan, was the drive through of a nearby McDonald's. I go there after work sometimes, for breakfast. It's cash only for me, from now on.

you better make sure it's not full on identity theft PB
just saying
i too once had a corporate card of mine compromised in which they charges almost 70 washers, dryers, dishwasher and fridges on it. It must have been before they routinely reached out to people or had the normal pattern algorithms in place, bc I found out with my multi thousand dollar bill!! I called it in and they asked me seriously if I just didn't remember buying the devices! I laughed so loudly they must have thought I was losing it… but REALLY?!

I used to go through that constantly. In the past year or so, they added that instruction to their "on hold" recording. And they also now believe me when I tell them I've tried that already. Another thing Comcast has added is, when it's an outage that's already known in my area, once I punch in my account number, a recording tells me about the outage, and you lose the option to talk to anyone. Before the call automatically terminates, they give you the option to set up a courtesy call, to let you know when service is restored. But I don't bother. The call always come at least 6-12 hours after service is restored.

I was once one of those awful Comcast voices, for about a week. I got the job thru some work from home web site, I trained, with pay, for about a week, then after my 3rd shift, I quit. It was just too stupid, and I was having to work from 4 to midnight, and it was summer, prime party time here at the beach , all I could do was ask people to unplug for a bit, if that didn't fix it I set up a service call, which was weeks away, then they yelled, as they should, and I said goodbye.
Oddly enough we can't even get Comcast here, so that was weird.
