your employer is mistaken.....many people assume that beer being cold and then warm again will ruin it. This is only the case in extreme temperature changes.....say you put a beer on ice, then put it outside on blacktop at noon, then drop it into liquid nitrogen, then microwave it, that will make beer skunky. But beer going from ice cold, to slightly above room temperature won't do any damage. More often than not, beer goes skunky because it is exposed to sunlight, or fluorescent light, or the seal/cap on the beer is broken. Tell your boss not to freak out....his beer will be fine.
