I just heard the new Tool single Vicarious off of 10,000 days on ethel. It was pretty sweet, not totally different but not the same stuff, so I'm happy. New album May 2nd, i cannot wait.

Ehh, I heard all I care to hear from that album.  There was like one song in the middle somewhere that was mildly acceptable, but it was just boring.  He doesn't sing with that hard edge to his voice in the songs anymore. It's all clean sissy singing.  Fuck that, I want hard shit.I'm sure there's plenty of Tool fans who will love it but I've been done with these guys for over a decade now.

Sounds like they're still rolling with the lateralus sound.  I didn't like that album at first, but it grew on me.  Maybe this one will too.Tool is Maynard's angry band, so i'm sure there will be some screaming and yelling...right???

Wow, I just found out something that is really funny to me.The leaked Tool album I heard is a fake it seems.  There's all sorts of rumors that I guess I can confirm now that Tool released a fake album that kinda sucks on the internet to throw file sharers off.  WEll since I don't know much about Tool it worked for me.Guy I worked with brought in the real single this morning and it's way better.  More power, much better guitar tone, has a lot of the edge I'm used to with Tool back.So although I'm not a fan or really excited about the CD but I just wanted to share that with you.  I didn't want to scare Tool fans because what I heard was a fake album.

That sounds about right for them.  I think Maynard 'found Jesus' one year as an April Fool's joke.  I've bought each of the last 2 Tool albums the day they came out (Anemia at mignight on Monday).  I might wait a couple of days to get this one.  But I will buy it.

I'm going to try and download the fake tool album now. I'm more intrested in that that the real Tool album. I am a fan of Tool, so once I hear the fake one I'll be intrested in the real one.

I found a bunch of sources for the tool album (10,000 days... Didn't Disturbed just put out a "10,000" titled album?)Are the fake songs named the same as the real songs? The songs I downloaded sounded a bit weak (Only listen to about 30 seconds of 2 different ones, but it didn't sound like Tools past work to me, so I'm pretty sure these are the fake ones)Have the real songs been leaked yet?
