Ive had mine for about 3 years and its great not having to wait in cash lines. You almost feel sorry for the people who have to wait in traffic while you zip thru the EZ pass lane. Definitely one of the better inventions for traveling

You know what would be even better? Getting rid of the fucking tolls and letting the crooks in Albany find another way to screw the public.
The fucking Verrazano is $9 to drive across it. The Midtown Tunnel is $4.50 each way. Thats double
what any other toll is anywhere else in the country. Complete fuck job.

Don't even get me started on those sons of bitches. While I appreciate the convenience, those pricks sent me a warning notice for going through a toll at 25 mph and told me if I went through over 15 mph one more time, they'd fine and suspend me. Lo and behold, they claimed they clocked me going through at 20 mph a few weeks later. I was fined 25 bucks and lost my E-Z pass privileges for 60 days.

Until they make all tolls the high-speed variety E-Z pass is practically useless.

I've said it before...

The ONLY good thing about Jersey is that you can go throught EZpass at 80mph on the turnpike.

I just got that thing months ago. It's fucking awesome. Yes, the tolls suck but since they're a way of life, it's nice to not be held up by them.

have it approx 1 year... so far so good

i remember when the service first came out i pulled up to an 'unoccupied ez-pass' booth at Exit 12 and i'm like WTF. People behind me were getting pretty hot. I drove through and then pulled over and went in the office. The guy gave me a slip of paper to vouch that i accidentally went through and paid afterwards....

I'm getting one. They make the miserable drive up 95 North much more tolerable.

And Bulldogcakes, I love playing "let's see how much they raised the tolls on the GWB and Hudson THIS time" when I go up to CT.

i've been very happy with EZ Pass. i travel over the GWB and the Throgs Neck everyday, so it comes in handy. though i did get a toll fine from EZ pass about a month ago fining me $25 for not paying a toll. i called up and they eventually reversed it. maybe it didn't register, but i didn't notice. i told them to just add $6 to my bill, but they couldn't do so. after arguing for about 20 minutes that i use the thing multiple times a day and wasn't trying to beat the system this one time they reversed the fee and i just had to mail in the $6 toll.

someone in this thread said how they feel sorry for the people who have to wait on the cash line. i used to also, but not anymore. i've had my EZ pass lane slowed down so many times now by one of those fools who feel above just getting onto the end of the cash line and have to try and squeeze in as close as possible to the cashier..thus blocking traffic in my lane as they wait to merge over. so now i just laugh at the whole bunch of them.

Go ahead, do away with tolls and then see how much higher your taxes go up, probably to the point it costs more then your tolls. If it wasnt for tolls in NY, the city would prob be so far in debt they'd be selling pieces back to the indians

When I drive to Queens, Long Island, Central/South Jersey, I love looking at those long cash lines as I zip by in the ez pass lane and watch as they don't move.

And I would happily pay a single annual fee for road repairs than have to deal with tolls at all.

Why I love EZ Pass:

Searching around the seats and floor of my car for change as I pull up to the booth is a thing of the past. <3
