More than half of our cooks are Central American. They have been working there ranging from 1-3 years. We haven't had an American cook manage to hold his job for more than a couple of months (most for a week or two). They either quit or get fired for being lousy workers.

First of all, it doesn't matter if steroids were "illegal" in baseball, they are illegal in the United States. Why should baseball need to make a rule when the government has already done so?

Barry Bonds isn't on steroids, he is on Human Growth Hormone (HGH). HGH makes you bigger and stronger. It doesn't help your hand eye coordination, but it does improve your vision. MLB doesn't test for HGH, but the minor leagues do. Until they test for HGH in the majors, Bonds will be off scott free.

The reason that Bonds is having trouble with his knees is because of the HGH. HGH thickens bones to the point where they don't fit in the joints properly. It explains the growth in Barry's fat noggin' as well.

Having the muscle to push one ball in ten from the warning track to over the fence doesn't just rack up the home runs, it will make a .200 scrub hitter into a .300 hitting superstar.

I find the inpenetrably obtuse, ironic humor of the guests to be fairly typical of those from Southeast Portland. On the Northeast side of town, we prefer more meat-and-potatoes, blue collar, Foxworthy-style yucks. these goons were enlightening compared to bl on the show last week. thankfully, they didn't talk too much over the course of the show. reading this thread i expected worse. still, i could've been done with em at the first break and not miss anything.
