a) that was a rumor that wasn't ever close to being true.
b) Yes it would since Christian Bale gave the best performance of last year and became a hero to me. I don't think DiCaprio would have been able to pull of the role half as well.

The most scary thing about this movie besides that it is going to be made is that William Shatner is going to be in it.

This movie is going to be as big a travesty as Caddyshack 2.

To clear this up once and for all, <b>YES, PATRICK BATEMAN COMMITTED ALL THE MURDERS AND HEINOUS ACTS FOUND WITHIN THE BOOK.</b>

The explanation is simple: The book, taken as a whole, is a criticism of the vaccuous nature of the ubermaterialistic 80s and its Yuppie contingent. Keeping this in mind, you'll notice numerous instances in the book (decidedly less in the movie, but still there) where Patrick Bateman is mistaken for another individual.

What happens at the end of the book is that, despite Bateman's full admission of his heinous crimes, no one believes him because "they saw Paul Allen (fill in location here)". It wasn't Paul Allen, it was another instance of mistaken identity...or rather identity lost to a society which is selfcentered to the point of ridiculousness. No one cares about anyone else unless it means having connections.

So that's that. That explain it?
