Attach a FEE for guaranteed appearance in "The Making Of" Paul O's Movie. Everyone gets screen time who throws in some cash to cover costs. It could be a graduated scale per seconds of appearance(within reason). >>> OR >>> "The Making OF" Paul O's movie should be 1 hr 20 of people doing 1 minute READS/auditions...and reenactments of rape scenes interspersed OK COCO..Now..twirl ya HAIR.

this will be a small production....evrything has been thought out to the letter.....

the whole enterprize will be as tight as a hamster's asshole.....

I'll insist that five actors and the one or two technical people all get a good backend deal which will make everyone rich if this takes off.....

One or two investors is all that will be necessary but all interest is appreciated....but the money man is going to have a lot of control....so we have a few months to get this finalized...

Paulo

what is the union jurisdiction and make it gross points off the back end and we'll talk. i actually have some $ to inest. whatkinda budget you looking at and return?

thepaulo

the budget is so low it has to be well out of reach of the union but....I don't know

obviously an entertainment lawyer will be involved to work out all the contracts...there is no official budget yet but if we have to I'm sure we can do it for well under the $10,000 figure I threw out on the air...

the biggest question is what kind of digital video do we use and the owner/operator becomes part of the backend deal

two other details... an indoor location....and should we use extensive movie horror makeup or go really old school

Troma pictures could trade some publicity on R&F for some trade in services in horror costumes etc. Just a thought.I'd float it to Troma and see their interest level and if they value XM radio. I have other ideas. Kinda like East Side Dave .....Pocket sized ideas.

Did anyone hear the story about the Dirctor here in the UK who is asking fans to partly fund his new movie. He has promised each investor who pitches in with at least £25 an executive prudicer credit on the DVD. I think he has done a horror film before but I can't remember his name. Anyone know which director it is?
that's all executive producer credits are used for anyways-favors. 99% of the time, the person had little or nothing to do with the film. usually its a studio exec or someone who, say, put the director in touch with the producer.

all the burden will be on me....

whoever steps up with the best digitial video equipment will be a main partner and our main technical guy....I'm a little concerned on the sound quality

everything about the concept of the film will lend itself to simplicity and streamlining the filming

the makeup for wounds is not essential...there are ways around it but it would be nice for a few disgusting body wounds....otherwise like I say you can get animal organs from the butcher

Well Paulo...SAG does have a provision to get permission to work on a film if its for a friend in spite of Rule 1

something to think about

it sounds like you know the sag rules....

i specifically need unknowns....I believe you get a sag card when you do dialoge in a union film....

I don't want anyone who is recognizeable....but obviously, it'll all come out in the wash

Paul O,if you were SMahT ,not dumb like everybody says, but SmaHt,you'd set a BEAR TRAP for Steve C /producer from O&A to do your sound recording, because he has underlings.

ok paulo, so im hearing the following:

no cameraman aside from the cinematographer, so he won't have anyone to help with the tripod or improvised dolly shots etc

no sound guy to get decent sound that will make your editing 10000 times easier down the road

no first assistant director to keep the set organized and moving along professionally, from shot to shot scene to scene

no art director to dress any locations you choose to use

no producer to secure locations, actors, and to handle anything/everything that goes on off-set

no gaffer so you'll be using all natural lighting or this too falls on the cinematographer

and no general goons and handymen aka grips to do all the other menial tasks that inevitably arrive.

just a cinematgrapher who provides all technical equipment and potentially a makeup guy.

so i really hope you know what you're doing.

I absolutely agree that the sound quality is one of the most important things....but yes everything else has been accounted for.....the set up is minimal...so the chances are the guy who gets the camera is gonna have all the expertise I'd need...90% percent of what is gonna be needed is gonna come directly from me so if the basic equipement and location is provided I will have prepared for the rest....but Ron got me started on this so I'll wait until he's ready.... suggams...e-mail me.....I'm not gonna go into specific detail online.... thegailo@msn.com

Curtoid, there are some things I can't fully explain, but imagine if O&A regulars like Big A,Stalker Patti,Pat Moonachie and other s could get some much needed work from Troma films.Try to see where I'm going with this. It's NOT just Paul O's movie I'm thinking of,but an XM 202/Troma relationship as weird as that sounds. Curtoid, let's say I had the kernel for the idea behind Stern's movie Private Parts 1993. Here we are 2006 and it's a different world. R&F don't want a movie.O&A don't want a movie,Stern is too lazy to want a movie. I'm a ghostwriter, yet certain things must line up before I can DO anything worthwhile. My movie contributions so far might surprise you.Stern, 4 Star Treks,Beavis & Butthead, **If you count South Park/anything with Mr Hanky(my creation). I'm pretty much limited to using existing systems, already established works or artists.
