i'd like to nominate Big Love. apparently its about a polygamyst. He's married to 3 of the ugliest women i've seen, bad acting and a weak unbelievable story. The big thing going on right now is he fucked one of the other wives in the others bed. apparently THAT is over the line....um what? he is married to 3 women, but they get jealous cause it was in her bed....this show just bothers me.

I'll second Seinfeld. If you want active shows, than either of the CSI spinoffs.

As
far as the quality of the Big Love chicks, well one wife is god awful,
one is older but ok, and one is my current celeb crush:

Ginnifer Goodwin is fucking adorable.

I look at people hating Seinfeld like people who hate the Beatles...they're wrong.

Alright, let me put it this way...sure, you can personally dislike both all you want...but to claim that the Beatles actually "suck" or that Seinfeld is "the worst show on television" are both just so incredibly false.

Hottub

Sorry, Sport!

Beatles = Groundbreaking

Seinfeld = Amusing.

They ain't even in the same Muthu fuckin' ballpark!

Normally, good analogies from you. That one BLEW!!

TheMojoPin

Hells no! Like I said, you don't have to like Seinfeld, but it is by FAR the most influential sitcom of the last 15-20 years. It really is like the Beatles in terms of cultural influence.

Hottub
03-27-2006, 04:27 PM

By influential, you mean what?

Dopey characters running through asinine scenarios? Gets a B- for that. (sitcom 201) What ground was really broken?

I am not trying to trash Seinfeld, as it was too inane for me to enjoy all that often. I am questioning your Beatles analogy!

TheMojoPin
03-27-2006, 04:47 PM

Again, this isn't about your personal preference, or mine...

I'm saying, look at the Beatles impact on music and pop culture...

And look at Seinfeld's impact on television and pop culture.

Both are massive...practically unchartable.

And I'm saying that impacts like that happen for a reason, the source of them being "the worst whatever" never being anywhere near the case.

Straight up, Seinfeld is nowhere near being the worst show on television, ever. It's just a ridiculous thing to say. Like if someone asked me what the worst band of all time was and I said it was the Beatles. That's me being overly dramatic...and wrong.

Yeah, I'm being a jerk about it, but I maintain that it is impossible that Seinfeld is THE worst television show that Moe has ever seen. I'm not picking on you big guy, I just know you've seen some REALLY shitty, shitty TV like the rest of us!
