I got my XM on and "Get Poppin'" by Nelly came on and it instantly reminded me of last summer. Another songs that pump me up for summer are "Boys of Summer" by the Ataris ((it was so overplayed)), and "Summertime" by Sublime. Granted they have the fucking word "summer" in the title... but anyway... what songs rock it for you? I wanna make a few CDs for my BBQs and outdoor craziness

i try to listen to the most obnoxious, loudest, rudest death metal i can find in the summertime.

i like to look over at the people at the stop lights next to me to see the look on their faces when a 22 year old businessman with long hair pulls up in a brand new convertable, top down, blasting slayer or cradle of filth.

CLASSY!

The entire Sublime "Sublime" album. I spent the entire summer of, I guess, '96 was it? Maybe '95, or '97 ... no matter. I spent the entirety of that summer with that disc on repeat in my car. Now every time I hear a track from it I'm transported back in time.

"We took this trip to Garden Grove ..."

It's incredibly cheesy but "Summertime Girls" by Y&T always does it for me.

I know saying Jimmy Buffet is cheesy, but summer doesn't start till the first time I'm headed to the South Beach of Staten Island (yeah, I have low standards) to the tune of "One Particular Harbor."
