Played the new Godfather game on PS2 today. If you are a Godfather fan and a Grand Theft auto fan, then you will have felt like you have died and gone to heaven. It rings true to the Godfather 1 movie, and you get to wreak havoc in New York City, circa 1945 ala GTA. It kicks ass. Buy it, enjoy it. Hey, you find any hints that you want to share, perfectamente, compadre.

I heard if you give little Mikey D a lollipop you an extra 1,000 points. Just don't take him to Great Adventure. Only Kidding Mikey.

really fun to "shake down" the dozens of businesses located throughout. going in and smacking around a seamstress for some a little scratch only to find out she's running a gambling den in the basement. Of course then you have to take out the joint with tommygun/shotgun/multiple molotovs.

How hard is it to handle the driving in the game? If it's similar to GTA, it must be a bitch.

All I can think of is how bad sports cars handle in GTA, so imagine how bad it must be trying to keep some 1940 hunk of junk on the road.

It looks like a very detailed game. The strategy guide for it is about an inch thick.

I rented Godfather for the PS2 last week. I found it to be an average GTA ripoff. Great look, some fun moments - but not worth owning.

One problem is there's way too much driving for no reason. I don't recall a lot of Smokey and the Bandit-style car chases in Coppola's opus. The driving is not difficult, just tedious.

The movie missions were incredibly easy. I was able to do all the movie missions and half of the side missions in five days of occasional play. However, some of the side missions are damn near impossible - particularly the bombing of the rival families compound. The fact that I couldn't pull it off made me look ridiculous and a man in my position cannot afford to be made to look ridiculous.
