So what's the best restaurant you've been to lately, chain-or-otherwise?

I went to "Chammpps" sports bar at the Menlo Park mall... good setup and lighting, lots of TV's to watch sports, and probably the best burger I've had in a long while - perfectly done. Nice appetizers, huge portions, and the desserts are killer too.

I'm a big believer of food tasting better in the right environment.

Of course, I've been to a bunch of different places and had a lot of different food... both good AND bad.

Where have you been lately? Any reccomendations?

i went to this place in little italy called angelo's which was great.

The Town Tavern in West Milford, NJ.

Not a classy place. Very laid back. GREAT Seafood. But I go there for the HUGE portions they offer on PRIME RIB!! OH MY GOD! The King cut is like 3-4 inches thick! Add some mashed potatoes, and all you can eat from the salad bar and a small hot appitizer bar, and you have the best $18-$25 dollars a person that money could buy! So go there and buy a beer and more beef than I can eat in one sitting! Leftovers RULE!! I like to fill myself just a little on the free food, so I can bring home like half of my Prime Rib! So good the next day for lunch!

I was in upstate NY a few weeks ago and stopped at Hansel 'n Gretles restaurant on Rt. 145 in East Durham. No frills food but good and plenty of it!!!
