DUH Question..How do I apply for Unemployment?????

I have never in my life ever went for unemployment. Have about a month and a half of Severance coming but most of the jobs I am looking at don't start until July. Don't get me wrong... I will do day labor if I have to...but just on the outmost chance.......what do I do???

<p>If you were wrongfully fired or laid off, then yes... you apply for unemployment. I don't know where you live, but if you go to the state employment agency where you live, they will tell you if you qualify. You might even be able to find out if you qualify, by doing an online search at the website of your state.</p><p>As for whether you should apply... If you're eligible, go for it. Get what you're entitled to. That's why it's available.</p>
