I guess when t comes to zombies I want mindless violence and ass kicking. Any Walking Dead fans on here?
Definitely in my top 3 since it started. This series has unlimited potential because it doesn't do what you want...by focusing on the people just living instead of making them have a goal or "save the day" plan or just slaughtering everything that moves nonstop, we can have an ongoing and engaging series about what it would be like to live in a world full of the undead. Kirkman has stated several times we'll probably never find out why the zombies showed up, and that the characters we're following now will be around by the time he ends it. He's got a whole world he can play with, and it's pretty fuckin' cool...if only it came out in a more timely fashion.

Anybody check out the latest Uncanny X-Men written by Ed Brubaker? In the future I think I'm gonna pick up whatever this guy writes. I loved the issues of Cap he did and this new X-Men story with Warpath looks promising.

I totally agree about the Star Wars comics, Most are crap, The best in my opinion are the comic adaptions of the Timothy Zahn novels, The Tag and Bink stuff is sort of geeky fun and a few or the Star Wars Tales single stories have been quite good but not good enough to buy it every time.

I think that Civil War is a lot better series right now than Infinite Crisis was. It just seems that the effects of what is going on here are going to be a hell of a lot bigger than whatever IC was attempting to do to the DC universe. I mean, how much bigger can you get that Spider-Man, a classic Marvel Icon, revealing his identity in a press conference to the entire world? That's pretty ground breaking.
How can you say House of M had no repurcussions, unless you don't read any X-books? As for IC, we haven't seen too many repurcussions, but I think it'll come up now and again, for instance, Batman is supposed to be lightened now, Superman was a Superboy, etc. (Although, that last one is undoubtedly changed to some degree with the recent lawsuit, which also affected the upcoming Legion cartoon)
I do have a complete run of the Eclipse Miracleman, but I want to hold it. Mainly just for sentimental value, as they are in pretty bad shape. I have probably 50 percent of the Eclipse catalog, but all are from the "free box", which was a large pile of damaged issues that weren't good enough to sell. One of the employee perks was unlimited shwag from the free box.

I thought the way he died was cheap, done not to create a good story, but to have a death to cause an event. However, the way he was brought back was one of the better ways that a "dead" character has been brought back.

I generally agree that dead characters should stay dead. They never should have brought back Jean Grey after the Dark Phoenix Saga, Norman Osborn, or Jason Todd. However, if you can make a "resurrection" a great story, then I can live with it. For instance, I never thought they should have Bucky not be dead, but I love how Brubaker did it.

You did good by picking up Captain America. It's been the best book available since Bru took over. Recently I liked Millar's run on Ultimate Fantastic Four and the Young Avengers miniseries.

You can't go wrong with our buddy BKV. Start Runaways from the first issue (of the first volume!) and then hit Y The Last Man and Ex Machina.

52 has been OK, I want to know who the hell Supernova is, I hope its a readjusted Booster from a different timeline or something

As a whole the story seems to lack focus to me

I might say it alot but 52 is the best comic book series right now
We have at least three stories at once and the only one i really dont think is that great is the Space one with Adam Strange, Lobo The main man, Starfire and Animal Man. Its great to see the question again and you see more of black adam and his own black marvel family

I hate Civil War. I just read 6 and it is garbage. Read The Boys, as over the top as they make the heros is exactly how the characters in Civil War come off. I can't believe how little I care when something happens in this book. Its not even a long read. One or two things happen with little story suporting it. Just plain awful.

Civil War probably not the best series we all just seem to hate iron man
Spiderman goes from one side to the other
We get the PUnisher back in the mainstream
New Thunderbolts basically are like the suicide squad
Two Avengers team
return of Captain Marvel
End of the Illumanti after the Hulk goes into space
Death of Black Goliath and a crazy cloned thor
We have alot of good things and bad with the war in general
maybe the good seems to out way the bad maybe not
What are you going to do
Marvel will always go for the big event that is controversial
Its allright not really the biggest of deals
