What are some of those moments in movies or television that just make you shudder or stay with you long after the movie or show is over?

End of The Godfather when Neri shuts the door on Kay. I seriously felt cold watching it in a theater.
From Godfather 2 when Michael realizes Fredo went against the family
When Michael gives Neri the nod to kill his brother
"I was cured all right"- nuff said
"I think we lost him"- Brazil
There's this moment in a Duckman episode where he comes in contact with his past self when asks about the marriage "you'll love her until the day you die" that just stuck with me
M*A*S*H- "Good bye Margaret"
M*A*S*H- The end of Abyssinna Henry which really was when the show jumped the shark. Not because of how it was done but because after Trapper/Blake left the show blew.

One that always gets me is Robert Redford running the bases covered by the shower of sparks at the end of The Natural

John Wayne's last public appearance at the Oscars a few months before his death. It will put a lump in your throat.

Ikeaboy, anyone who references Brazil is a great man in my book. Favorite movie of all-time.

My tentative list:

The end of Seven Samurai. I hate saying goodbye.
The entire scene dealing with the descent of Jimmy Stewart in "Vertigo".
The Curb Scene in "American History X
[*}The final scene of "Fitzcarraldo". I haven't been so happy to see a failure in my life.
The debate on love in "Leon: The Professional" (director's cut)
[*}The death of Orson Welles' character in "Touch of Evil"

That's about all I can remember this late at night.

As for war movies, the last scene of "The Great Escape" and the scene leading up to the execution in "Paths of Glory" always stick in my mind.

i just thought of another:

the dance in "band of outsiders."

anna karina, franz and arthur are all in a cafe and then they break into a dance routine. the moment of silence was great, too.

after i saw the movie, me and my friend tried to imitate the dance routine in the movie.

Scarface!!

"Say 'ello to my little friend!'

-uses the word "fuck" 206 times! What are you lookin' at? You're all a bunch of fuckin' assholes. You know why? You don't have the guts to be what you wanna be. You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers, and say "that's the bad guy." So, what'll that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth... even when I lie. So say goodnight to the bad guy. Come on. The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you.
