I have been subscribing to XM since Ron and Fez announced they were leaving WJFK. I
recently got Sirius too. Just wanted to post my thoughts on them.

Howard Stern is great -better than Opie and Anthony - my opinion. That
being said, a lot (maybe all) of the other junk on 100 and 101 is
boring. I still haven't checked out any of the other talk shows on Sirius
- will someday get to listen to Mojo Nixon.

The music stations are very similar to XM. I like punk music and the
Sirius punk station is more of an "Extreme Sports" station.
They play rap and other junk I don't want to hear. XM has the fungus
which is all punk. I don't want to hear Bodie whatever his name is
playing Extreme music. XM wins in regards to music in my opinion.

Sirius has a terrible web interface and they don't stream most of the talk
shows including Stern. Has there been any more mentions of when they are
going to stream Howard?

XM 202 plays way too much Opie and Anthony. I like them, but they seem
to be replayed twice after Ron and Fez.
XM should mix it up better in regards to when they replay Ron and Fez.

All that being said, it was probably a waste of money to get Sirius. Until Sirius streams everything, it's just not worth it. I
listen to Stern for about 30 minutes before going to work, stream 202 at work
until 2 pm, then listen to the fungus or hanks place. I sometimes catch
the stern replay at night (I think it is on at 9pm).

Well I hate Howard Stern. His show became more and more a parody of itself over the past decade, got VERY lazy and he lost me like 5 years ago by now. I would never subscribe to Sirius for him. From what I saw the music channels are comparable to XM.

XM has Ron and Fez and that's the ONLY reason I'm a subscriber right now. I like O&A but they weren't enough for me to get it.

Now HOW can you say 202, O&A's channel, plays "too much O&A"? It's their fucking channel. I mean WE ALL want MORE Ron and Fez, but it's O&A's popularity that gave R&F the opportunity to even come to XM.

I got Sirius for my g/f because she wanted to listen to Stern, who I've been tired of for several years, and I've listened to some of it and laughed but that Howard News and all the other things are the worst.

Its like " And this morning Howard had a doughnut for breakfast. "

The music I like on Sirius but I'm sure its similar to XM.

I hear some of the XM stations when I'm on AOL.

Bubba The Love Sponge was ok one time when I heard a weekly recap.

He had on porn stars like Jasmin St Claire ( who he reamed because she wouldnt show anything ) and Teri Wiegel ( which was cool because I hadnt heard her name since like the mid 90s ).

Other times since that I've heard his show he sucked because he was just cursing like a 12 year old.

I lucked out when XM added High Voltage 879XM. I have Serius and go right to ron & fez at 11. Howard is still decent, listening to O&A rip Howard while listening to him is great. Ron & Fez still make me laugh the most. all the other programing is bassically the same.

The first few times I heard porn stars on Stern back in the day thought it was cool. Then you realize how vapid they are. I can tolerate Mary Carey on O&A because she's really got something wrong with her, makes it at least interesting. Its Radio, I'd rather listen to a hunchback woman with a great personality, I dont care what they look like. Love DeeDee on O&A, and she's not what you'd call the comeliest gal.
