Charles had to be at least 6 10' and his arms were at least 4 feet long and instead of dunking he's going up weak with a layup. All you fucking dick heads who booed Patrick Ewing are reaping what you sow. The guy turned a shit franchise into one that made the playoffs every year, and after they finaly beat the Piston, seamed to make it to the semi's and even the finals every year. But you mother fuckers would boo him because he did not open up to the public. Who fucking cares if the guy did or did not smile or let you into his world. He was a GREAT player, and now you see what life as a Knick fan is without him. He did not win the big one, but that probably is because he never had another "star" on his teams. Great role players, but never another star. I have not watched more then 20 minutes total of this years team, and I probably did not miss 20 minutes of a season when Ewing was there.

Starks could be pretty damn funny too... one time i saw him sky for a defensive rebound, take the ball the full length of the court, get under the basket and then just pass it to a guy on the other team. so now he makes a quick u-turn, tears ass after the guy all the way downcourt and the guy dunks it in his face... basketball could be pretty funny to watch sometimes...

I have a hard time ripping John Starks yeah he went cold in the game that mattered but he didn't go into a shell when he wasnt hitting he kept shooting which is what shotters do.

John Starks played with more passion, fire and intensity then any two players that the knicks had at that time. He played both ends of the court and rebounded and never complained

Acutally A. Mason matched Starks in the fire. Those were good Knicks teams that i loved watching.

And to echo the Pat Ewing point. Jeff Van Gundy got the same raw deal as well

I'm amazed how bad new york is this year, basically got the best coach in basketball, although he has no passion for the NBA game anymore. Same coach thats improved every crappy team he's ever taken over, got a 76ers team with Allen Iverson and a bunch of Ham-and-Eggers to the NBA finals and played the Lakers hard... uff. My 76ers arent exactly stellar, but they're not the worst team in the league at least at 15 - 42.

Kyle Korver says kthx.

Aaron Mckie played good D and drilled shots, Eric Snow ran that offense extremely well and made up for Iverson's offense by playing extra D. Also, i'm pretty sure they had theo ratliff then, who is a damn god defensive force inside. That was a very solid sixers team. number 2, they didnt play the Lakers tough. They won the first game and then got raped for 4 games

"Of course I want to win, but this quest to me is more about being able to play again while I still can"
Wow, the words of a real selfless team-player...
It's not so much about the Knicks winning, as much as it's about him wanting to settle some personal qualms.

here is what I don't get. They have 18 on the roster, have to cut down to 15, and have wayyyy too many guards. What's the logical solution when you have alot of guards and too many roster guys.....sign another OLD guard?????? :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

also, THIS GUY ALREADY STOLE 100 MILLION DOLLARS FROM US

I say Herb Williams takes the suit off and laces up a pair of Sneakers

I used to love Chanting Herb (esp. since calling some 1 Herb Back then was an insult)

also the Knicks are Close to Siginiing Eddie Lee Wilkins and Kenny "Sky" Walker

This team just finds a new way to shit on a season. I had heard that this was coming, but I was hoping it would fall through.

so I flipped to the Knicks game during a commercial and the scoreboard was in the corner and it just cracked me up:

MTA 32
NYK 34

It is acutall a team from Isreal, something or other Tel Aviv. But it just looked hilarious to me cause that's our level, playin charity games against the MTA
