View Full Version : The Black Earl situation

Black Earl is having trouble with the daily routine of an executive producer, and since he is already on double secret probation and that doesnt seem to be working, I have a suggestion. Perhaps Earl should be taken off double secret probation, and punishment be handed out to Po and the interns instead, ala Full Metal Jacket. If Earl (private Pyle) fucks up, everyone has to go without lunch that day while Earl gets to eat in front of them, or they just push out 50 pushups for every transgretion while he stands and watches and eats a donut. I figure it should take about a week before the interns turn on Earl and give him the 'ole soap-in-a-sock treatment and straighten his ass out. Dont forget private Pyle was a model Marine after a his tough love intervention.

A man in Mr. Benningtons position should not be made to look rediculous.
Any other suggestions?

Since I've listened, Earl is maybe the most qualified producer they have ever had out of the box and has proven to be a great asset on the show. Shit happens - shit gets played out on the show - maybe not everything is as it seems - maybe it's worse or better. It is clear they rely on Earl and that he is as dedicated to them and the show as anyone they have ever had. His job may not to be liked by all the listeners, but (imo) barring a total implosion or something totally out of their control, I really get the vibe he's there for the long haul. This job seems like his destination, and not a stepping stone to something else. AND - the recent hire of ESD is a perfect addition, imo - hopefully they will be able to continue the progress and grow the staff.

I could have swore I laced that original post with humor. I guess my humor fell upon deaf ears with Black Earls apologist.

Face it. There are certain elements of people that hate people who wear black clothes. I call them "clothing separatists".

I have nothing but good things to say about Earl.

I also look at him as being a very brave man. How many other people in his position would admit on a national radio show that he was a myth buster?
