I go back to the old WNEW days and thought R&f were great.A show which doesn't have to go to the "shock" element to get laughs.Just 2 geniune guys being funny using their staff and making people interesting.I recently got XM and what happened? Ron uses the F word every 5 seconds it's not even necessary but its fing guy this fing that.R&F could actuallly make it on FM radio because they don't have to work blue.But it seems that has change.Ron is just cursing because he can it has no comedic value at all.The show was at it's best when they had a producer who would "produce" for the show.This of course means that occasionaly you would have to get your balls broken.But Black Earl is just a waste.The guy has the personality of a handball.He is like a Human Sleeping Pill.Also he would never tdo anything for the show.They must be desparate because they turned to this East Side Dave character who is just a guy trying way too hard to be outrageous or the "wild man".You can tell half the crap he says is bullshit.R& F need to get away from this O&A crap and do thier own thing.They use to say we are getting the band back together but from what I can tell O& A have ALL the prime spots and R& F not only get the worse air shift 11-2 everybody is working and few people have XM to listen to at work but there replays are on after Midnight and 4:00 A.M on weekends!! What the f is that about? It sounds like O& A are afraid to give these guys a shot.Why not give them the 7-11 Shift on XM if the"Band is back together"? R & F had to leave JFK but I fear they made a wrong decision in choosing XM.I mean if you were trying to f them what worse hours for there show and replays could you possibly give them?

Welcome to RF.net. Now take your XM, flush it down the terlet, buy sirius, and... You're welcome to your opinions, but a lot of these things are easily explainable.  Try searching around the site.

1) I enjoy East Side Dave a lot more than most "characters" in the WJFK era.2) You claim you want a producer that "produces", but can you say what that entails, and how can you say that Earl doesn't do that?  Obviously, Earl's strength isn't being on the air, but that's not to say what he does off the air doesn't help the show in more ways you don't know about. 3) Time slots - not this crap again.4) Don't you think R&F knew what they were getting into when they signed their deal.  They had control over their destiny.5) Did you think that MAYBE R&F like having Middays?  Ron has at least one young kid.  Perhaps having a daytime shift is good for him while the kids are in school. 6) Stop making it about youuuuuuu..  No one cares what youuuuuuuu want, angry typing noob.

I've only discovered R&F since they joined XM, and it's the best radio I've ever heard.

It boils down to this:Unlike O&A, Ron and Fez had complete control of their destiny when they left JFK to go to XM.  They made the choice, they knew what was best for them and their careers, which is why they made the jump.  They wouldn't have done it if O&A were enthusiastic about working for XM.It's not like someone held a gun to R&F's head and forced them to go to satellite.  Earl's production experience includes securing guests for the show (which he's done), running the board for the show from master control, and other off-the-air things.  Considering Al Dukes couldn't even press a dump button in August of 2002, I rest my case.

These recent posts have really got me thinking if all these "fans"
truly enjoyed Ron and Fez or the producers/meltdowns.  If you
liked the constant drama of Al Dukes and Billy Staples, you might find
something missing on XM.Otherwise, I can't imagine being
anything but thrilled with the current state of the show.  It
seems that many people want Earl to do the big producer break down that
RnF have been known for.  I'd MUCH rather have the current show
and everything that comes along with it.More Ron and Fez = More Gooder.P.S.
- If you curse in your everyday conversation, toning it down when
you're on XM just so you don't sound "naughty" would be foolish.

coincidentally when i first got XM i thought the exact same thing about Ron using the F word. as i listened more and more each day it seemed he used it much less if at all. i think we just caught him on 'one of those days'...

I thought this was going to be about why the show was in replay again today. I've been searching and don't see anything about it. Did they take the day off again because the phones were messed up?

But just remember: 1)USE PARAGRAPHS or at least, spaces behind the periods so that the individual sentances look like seperate sentances!!! 2) Be sure to actually have a point.

i do have to agree with these points.  the time slot
issue may be old, but it is going to be an issue until it is changed,
and it has to be changed at some point....

I'm a new fan of the show.  I've had XM since they launched, and been listening to O&A since it was free.  The first time I heard Ron and Fez this fall I thought they were a couple of O&A fans who had won a contest to have a radio show for the day.  Ever since then, I've only missed a handful of broadcasts.  My point is:  I live and work (on the road all day pushing pills) in Indiana (home of the Bob and Tom Show), and nothing makes me get out of the bed every morning like the anticipation of the Ron and Fez show.  These two fuckers are the most entertaining and hillaroius dudes I've ever heard on radio.  There hasn't been a show where I havn't laughed outload.  I fucking love these guys and this board.  Keep up the great work.

i have been listening since R&F started on xm. i even wake up to the opening nature boy speech every morning. . i love both shows (Ona and R&F), but there is something about R&F that keep me giggling like a little happy boy. thanks Ron and Fez.

Ron seems very comfortable with Earl,and that was even in Ron's voice over the phone almost exactly a year ago when Earl called from NYC to WJFK when R&F still felt stuck in BUMFUK and wanted to get to NYC but were tied down like Turduckens.   Fez seems very comfortable with Dave,and who needs convincing of that?   Harry was unwanted by O&A.Earl was unwanted by O&A...just listen to Jimmy Norton talk about Earl,like familiarity bred contempt.             Harry screwed himself somehow,and hopefully won't be back.    Bobby....I'm so glad I won't have to hear him anymore.    Perrynoid and Crazy jen add to the show,though many can't stand Jen.    Mikey D and Staples still haven't been hired that I know of,and yet I look forward to hearing them more often.                      Just to repeat for the benefit of new people ,don't think that the replays will always be so inconvenient.Some things take time to work out.My hope is that new channels for replays and trial runs for new talent will appear magically in Spring.   Hottub I wish I understood what you are trying to convey.I don't use photoshop/adobe if that's what you are referencing.I'm using Photosuite III.
