I was the one that gave them the clip, I was just wondering what was said by people in the studio.Did Mikeyboy give me some credit for giving them the clip? p.s. The clip was from a REVERB HBO show from a show in April of 1999.

I disagree.  I think they're albums have gotten better and better.Although my favorite right now is Summer Teeth, but that is probably because I hadn't listened to it since it first came out.

There has only been 2 concerts that I have walked out on - GREAT WHITE - ( and no the place wasn't burning down  - they just suck) WILCO - that have some great tunes but the live show sucked- not at all what I expected. I wanted to see the fun rock & roll show that I saw on REVERB and Much Music's SNOWJOB.. instead, I got a third rate coffee shop sissy band

Does Earl ever tell the Fucking truth.  I am just uplate waiting for meds to kick in and listening to Earl back peddle about Swiss Miss.  what a bullshit artist, he can not tell the truth or take responsibilty for anything.  Plus you cant hear him on the air and whe you do he adds nothing.   So why not try to produce the show while its on.  Make surethe studio is air ready, including getting other shows phones out of the studio, go complain so it doesnt happen again, and earn some respect for yourself, life is more than playing a song and going to break. anyway, this conversation is what I am referring to: Ron asks Earl Swissy is here and he goes:Is swiss miss here yet, Earl says no, Ron hears that she is indeed there and Earl than goes well she just got here...like he knewif he knew he wouldnt have said she wasnt there in the first place.  He would have told ron she just got there....he never left the room..Liar Liar Liarthat shit pisses me off

I find that a lot of people are hard on Earl but don't seem to take into account all the things he is responsible for. Besides the problems with the phones, the occasional mix up if someone is coming on the show or not, and him not being totally aware of the guest situation he does a fantastic job of running the show. I can't be 100% sure, but while I was listening the other day i thought I heard him spin some Delphonics. That alone earns him a warm place in my heart forever.

I agree with R&F and because of some work I did I do have a connection to the 9/11 tregedy, with both WTC and the Pentagon. And the rest of the country did feel it too - I saw more yellow ribbons and american flags on cars in Kansas than I did on the entire east coast. There was a billboard in Wichita for over a year with a picture of NY city with a "We Support You." This female caller really hit the nail on the head for most of the country - no matter where you were you didn't know if the world would get back to normal. However, people where it was a local or more personal story need to realize that it is not the same exact experience everywhere else, and at some point other people (where it wasn't local) might begin weighing the attacks against the shit around the rest of the world, and (as Fezzie pointed out) assume that they (these other people) moved on with their lives (which we have no way of knowing) and wonder why, in a grand scheme of when you put just body numbers vs. body numbers, why others happened. Hell, it was just a year removed from the attacks, and the rest of the country seemed to show little empathy for the nightmare those snipers put D.C., because in the bigger picture it wasn't as tragic because it wasn't as big as what happened in 2001. I heard fucking sniper jokes less than a year later, with zero outcry.In the end, I do wish our leaders had treated that day more as a story of the survivors (22,000+). Not ignoring the dead and wounded or forgetting their sacrifices, but rather I think it's absolutely amazing that so many people lived through that - that this is a country of survivors and not victims.  I wish that was brought up  more when we talk about that day - that some really horrible people tried to fuck with us, but we we're all still here.
