Its tax season and we dread doing Income Taxes, it seems like the IRS is more feared than the FBI and CIA. What do you plan do with your return? I am getting back a nice refund from Uncle Sam, I am going to use it to invest in my ETRADE account

If I get a refund, I'll be on shock considering I don't work right now and haven't worked full time since August. Then again, my mom started me on the practice of taking more out of my paycheck ((when I was working)) to try and offset the possibility of having to owe.
What are you doing with your tax refunds?

We actually did our taxes ourselves on sat nite. took us about 2.5 hours.
it was quite easy- the questions were dummed down for us common folk, not this fancy language that only mikeyboy can understand.

Another trip to the dominican republic sounds about right for the 3 of us.

we got about $11k with federal/state returns this year.

$3000 to my sons college account
$1500 work in our bathroom
$2000 on our new TV/Computer we got a month ago

I want sprinklers, but we are also talking about adding on a porch to the house, so I may just get a home equity loan/line and add that to it.

So the rest will probably be saved and I get my bonus soon also. That will be spent on our family vacation and things for my son during the year as I wait for next years return.

Most went into my ING Direct account. The rest is going towards my cruise

A couple of grand towards bills, then the rest into the ING wedding fund account...

In years past this would have resutled in a 50 inch LCD HDTV.

As my accountant says "If your suprised when your doing your taxes then something is wrong."
We get about the same back every year and pay off some debt, work on the house, and save some for who knows what.

Savings for my (hopefully) trip to Ireland for my break during Summer classes and some money on my credit card.

I just got my FA refund last week and after putting $100 on my credit card and in savings i still have more left of it than i know what to do with.
