Here's a little stat from Elias about Jared Wright : This time <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=5839">Jaret Wright</a> didn't even get close. Wright was knocked out in the fourth inning of his start against the Angels on Friday night. It was the 25th consecutive start in which Wright failed to retire a batter beyond the sixth inning, dating back to last September and equaling the second-longest streaks in major-league history.

Wright has that bad ass chew in every time he's on the mound, I fucking love it. In my opinion, that's the only good thing about him. My buddy has a 100" high definition projection screen and when I watch the games on that the chew literally takes on a life of it's own.

Man, A-rod is in a horrendous funk. It got so bad today that he went up to bat with Cano's bat to see if he could snap himself out, end result...............strike out. That's 6 K's in 2 days.

glad he never came to the mets, for once steve phillips did something rightalthough he would have still have been a shortstop if he came to the mets so maybe he wouldnt be as fucked upoh well we'll never know

If you thought the Jays were on a bad roll, just look at the fucking Sox stumbling around like a punch drunk boxer.  They might just fall into 3rd place when it's all said and done.  And Hbox was right on with his prediction for the last yank series.  I can't believe the other teams in the East are still losing ground.  The division is in a funk just like Arod.

Finally...an off day.  They could certainly use it.  The Angels usually play them tough (and win often), but the entire team just looks ready for a break.  Thankfully, as pedestrian as they've been playing, the Sox have been worse.  To lose 4 of 6 and not lose a game in the standings is incredibly lucky.  The Sox's chances of making the playoffs look very slim now, unless they somehow put together a nice September winning streak.  Even then, it may be harder to win the WC than the division.

Buster Olney reported on the Michael Kay show that Pavano said he got into a car accident on Aug 15 and that is the source of this recent problem and that the Yanks will have him checked out for broken ribs and the like in the next day or so.I'm not going to bash him like most people, but I think I'm done defending him. If he wants to show up and pitch I'll be ecstatic. He's better than Lidle and Wright. If not, whatever.

Does this surprise anyone? If I was Steinbrenner, I'd hire a P.I. (ala Dave Winfield) to collect evidence to see if he's defrauding the team. Or get his buddy Jaret Wright to wear a wire and see if he'll admit something on tape. Tell, Wright you'll p/u his option if he helps them out. Now if you'll excuse me I have to put down my pipe and wake up. He shows up for workouts, so they cant do anything to him. But who doesn't suspect that he just doesn't want to play here, and is just screwing Stienbrenner out of 10 mil per year to do nothing? Kay even said he's become a joke around the clubhouse. That he's in "The Tampa Triangle". I just want him and Sheff to show they're healthy in September so we can deal both of them in the off-season. But make no mistake about it, the Yankee organization has had it with Pavano. They've been pissed at him since last year, when the team was headed into the playoffs, short on pitching, and he "didn't want to take anyone else's roster spot"Gutless pussy.
