Batman may utilise his extensive knowledge of caves to fight his latest foe - al-Qaeda.

Batman writer, Frank Miller, has told a comic-book convention that his upcoming novel, "Holy Terror, Batman!" is a piece of propaganda. "Batman kicks al-Qaeda's ass," Miller said.

My biggest problem with this is that with the exception of the series 300, Miller has morphed into a really, REALLY shitty comic writer over the last decade or so. Even the last couple of Sin City books have been hideous, which makes the suggestion that he's going to write new SC tales for a proposed 3rd movie kinda depressing and sad. And his attempts to write Batman have been terrifying. At least Dark Knight Strikes Back had a few characters commenting on how friggin' nuts Batman seemed (though they apparently had no problem in general with the raving insane homophobic pedophile Miller apparently now sees him as), but the currently running All Star Batman and Robin gets my vote as the hands down shittiest comic of the year.

Batman's gay, just check in "Seduction of the Innocent" by Dr. Frederic Wertham! So why not let gays in the military?
But how many women can Miller portray as hookers in it?

Riddle me this: how many female characters from Miller aren't hookers/whores/strippers/etc.?

imo All Star Superman is not that great it's ok. It's just the all powerful Superman that Byrne's Man of Steel put and end to. I think we all agree that All Star Batman and Robin just sucks. Frank Miller has lost it, He cant write Batman any more Dark Knight strikes Back might be the biggest bomb in comics history. I hoping that once this run is over some one will come in and gives us good Batman and Robin stories enough with the origin stories and all writers adding there little spin on them, Just write a good B and R story please.

This is how Superman is supposed to be. Byrne's revamp ultimately limited the character to a finitie set of ideas and stories. I won't miss it if it's tossed after all of this "new Crisis."

I felt it opened up a whole new side to Superman by making him more Human and all the issues that that brought with it. The importance of the Kents, I felt was a major step forward and really added to Superman as a whole. I felt that the omnipetent Superman just encouraged lazy writing.

To be honest. I really only started reading Superman comics after the Byrne revamp. The All star title is an out of continuty book so they can pretty much do what they please.

See, the Kents struck me as the biggest problem...he brought his dad back from the dead. So Superman, essentially a god on Earth, had now never suffered any kind of true loss. With his father dying when Clark was still growing up, I think that would have instilled a much stronger sense of the fragile nature of the humans around him, and given him more of a respect for life. With them both alive, what's he ever lost? If anything, Byrne made him LESS human.

I agree with Mojo that Miller's nowhere near as good as he once was during his prime. However, I'll likely buy this, if for no other reason that it'll be refreshing to read a comic that's unabashadly pro-American and doesn't descend into the typical 'real patriots criticize their country endlessly!' bullshit that's somewhat en vogue in comics these days. "Supreme Power" anyone?
